About the Role
We are looking for a Growth Marketing Manager to own our Global Webinar Programs. In this role, the successful candidate will serve as an integral member of the Lifecycle Marketing Growth Team, innovating our webinar strategy to grow revenue and engagement KPIs, The ideal candidate would have experience building and scaling webinar programs in a b2b model, using data to drive strategy, and is someone who thrives in driving diverse, cross-functional teams to results.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with our Developer Experience and Product Marketing teams to produce webinars that accelerate the customer journey
  • Own the global webinar program strategy and define quarterly content calendar to support the growth marketing lead generation and pipeline goals 
  • Manage all aspects of webinar production, from idea to execution and follow-up
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert on webinars, sharing best practices to optimize registration, audience engagement, and follow-up goals
  • Experiment with new webinar and digital content formats to deliver new and engaging experiences for our users
  • Own our repository of recorded webinars as a resource, partnering with the Interactive Team to drive engagement
  • Evangelize and continue to scale webinars across the globe
  • Develop, track, and report on KPIs to grow the webinar business and prove ROI
  • Drive a culture of experimentation by “walking the walk,” building experiments to validate hypothesis and proactively communicating results to the organization

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years experience relevant experience
  • Familiarity with the basics of video editing 
  • Excellent organizational and operational skills and ability to manage a high volume of programs
  • Can operate at both tactical and strategic level
  • Experience running A/B tests to validate hypothesis and results
  • Strong project management skills and ability to perform in fast-paced and high-energy environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail balanced by an ability to see the big picture
  • Comfortable with introducing speakers and moderating Q&A sessions

We are looking for a self-motivated, data-driven, experienced curriculum developer/content manager to join our worldwide sales enablement and go-to-market performance team. Education is a key driver to our customers’ success.  Confluent is seeking a strong and passionate curriculum development manager to guide our educational content development and release processes, working across  departments and with customer input to ensure the successful end-to-end delivery of the largest and most complex curriculum development projects and e-learning initiatives.  The Curriculum Development Manager will work with content developers, instructional designers, and subject matter experts from across Confluent to build and execute against a content roadmap using a structured, controlled, best-practices and methodology-based approach. Ideally, the successful candidate would have a track record with experience in the software industry. 

What you can expect to work on

  • Content Strategy: working across Confluent departments, establish an enterprise content strategy aligned with top priorities of event streaming practitioners, including existing customers and prospects.  Oversee storyboard creation.  Brainstorming and nurturing new programs and initiatives that relate to the mission of Confluent Education is an on-going important component of this position.
  • Content and Curriculum Development: oversee development of an on-demand-first content portfolio capable of numerous delivery uses.  Build, maintain and continually evolve and enhance curriculum and learning paths, across multiple personas.  Experience managing content in languages other than English a plus or previous localization knowledge would be helpful.
  • Release Management: manage all educational products globally by facilitating the successful and consistent launch of all products (ex:- courses, datasheets, video learning modules, ILT classes worldwide).  Balance stakeholder priorities and business profitability.  
  • Quality management: ensure content and learning experiences meet quality standards
  • Team management: the ability to project manage multiple moving parts of curriculum development is vital therefore experience in management of virtual teams is a must.

Enterprise Account Executives play a key role in driving Confluent’s sales activities in region. This role includes activities developing and executing on the go-to-market strategy for your territory. The InfoSec Compliance Analyst will be responsible for evaluating and supporting information security initiatives covering compliance, policy, risk management, and awareness.  With guidance from the team leadership, this individual will oversee compliance initiatives across multiple information security standards including FedRAMP, SOC, ISO, HIPAA, PCI, and others as appropriate.  The individual in this role must have excellent communication and organizational skills to manage processes and liaise with various groups within the business.

We are looking for a Solutions Architect to join our Customer Success team. As a Solutions Architect (SA), you will help customers leverage streaming architectures and applications to achieve their business results. In this role, you will interact directly with customers to provide software architecture, design, and operations expertise that leverages your deep knowledge of and experience in Apache Kafka, the Confluent platform, and complementary systems such as Hadoop, Spark, Storm, relational and NoSQL databases. You will develop and advocate best practices, gather and validate critical product feedback, and help customers overcome their operational challenges.

Throughout all these interactions, you will build a strong relationship with your customer in a very short space of time, ensuring exemplary delivery standards. You will also have the opportunity to help customers build state-of-the-art streaming data infrastructure, in partnership with colleagues who are widely recognized as industry leaders, as well as optimizing and debugging customers existing deployments.

Location:
Toronto with 60-75% travel expected.

Responsibilities

  • Helping a customer determine his/her platform and/or application strategy for moving to a more real-time, event-based business. Such engagements often involve remote preparation; presenting an onsite or remote workshop for the customer’s architects, developers, and operations teams; investigating (with Engineering and other coworkers) solutions to difficult challenges; and writing a recommendations summary doc.
  • Providing feedback to the Confluent Product and Engineering groups
  • Building tooling for another team or the wider company to help us push our technical boundaries and improve our ability to deliver consistently with high quality
  • Testing performance and functionality of new components developed by Engineering
  • Writing or editing documentation and knowledge base articles, including reference architecture materials and design patterns based on customer experiencesHoning your skills, building applications, or trying out new product featuresParticipating in community and industry events
  • Participating in community and industry events

Requirements

  • Deep experience designing, building, and operating in-production Big Data, stream processing, and/or enterprise data integration solutions, ideally using Apache Kafka
  • Demonstrated experience successfully managing multiple B2B infrastructure software development projects, including driving expansion, customer satisfaction, feature adoption, and retention
  • Experience operating Linux (configure, tune, and troubleshoot both RedHat and Debian-based distributions)
  • Experience using cloud providers (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) for running high-throughput systems
  • Experience with Java Virtual Machine (JVM) tuning and troubleshooting
  • Experience with distributed systems (Kafka, Hadoop, Cassandra, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Java
  • Strong desire to tackle hard technical problems, and proven ability to do so with little or no direct daily supervision
  • Excellent communication skills, with an ability to clearly and concisely explain tricky issues and complex solutions

The mission of an Integration Architect is to develop technical content that teaches developers and operators how to build event streaming applications based on Apache Kafka. The goal is to increase adoption by demonstrating first-class user experience with end-to-end solutions.

As part of the Developer Relations team at Confluent, an Integration Architect designs, develops, and validates solutions, with an emphasis on content for developers new to Kafka, like basic event streaming concepts, as well as more advanced topics for users going to production with Confluent. Our Kafka team is building a new team in Europe so if you want to work with one of the most deployed new technologies and learn from the very best this could be the challenge for you.  

This is primarily a software engineering role where you will be focussing on optimising and improving performance, cost and resources.

 You will be part of the team building critical features for our products and jointly taking responsibility for their roll out, this will need you to of course write clear crisp code but also look at the bigger picture. For example you will be thinking about compatibility issues and training the team on new functionality.

We are looking for a Solutions Architect to join our Customer Success team. As a Solutions Architect (SA), you will help customers leverage streaming architectures and applications to achieve their business results. The Enterprise Account Manager (EAM) will play a key role in driving customer success, renewals and subscription expansion within our Enterprise accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet/exceed quarterly renewal targets by proactively managing renewal portfolio and customer retention activities as a member of a sales team.

Customer Operations Engineers work at the intersection of our client services and engineering teams and drive customer success by helping identify and resolve critical business issues. In this role you’ll interact directly with our customers to provide software development and operations expertise, leveraging deep knowledge of best practices in the use of Apache Kafka, the broader Confluent Platform, as well as complementary systems. You will be hands on in fixing issues seen by Confluent customers and contributing fixes back to the open source community. Throughout all of these interactions, you’ll build strong relationships with customers, ensuring exemplary support and timely resolution to customer requests.  

We are headquartered in Palo Alto, CA and we are searching for an individual to work remotely in Australia.  

A typical week at Confluent in this role may involve...

  • Working with customers to resolve a wide range of issues with their Confluent deployments
  • Contributing to process development - we’re a small team, so we’re looking for people who want to help us lay the foundation for growing efficiently and with a best-in-class culture
  • Communicating with our core engineering team to provide real-time product feedback from the field
  • Improving product documentation and authoring knowledge base articles
  • Creating and reviewing product demos and internal tooling
  • Working closely with the team behind Apache Kafka!

Required skills and experience

  • Excitement in learning about streaming data and becoming a domain expert in Apache Kafka
  • Experience in diagnosing, reproducing, and resolving customer issues
  • Desire to make customers successful through direct interaction

  • Two out of these three:
  • Experience troubleshooting applications running on Linux (resource contention, network bottlenecks, etc.)
  • Operational knowledge of Java applications (jstack,jmap, etc.)
  • Experience with at least one mainstream distributed system (e.g. Kafka, Hadoop, Cassandra, etc.)
