As an HR Manager​, you will oversee all things employee relations, plans and manage all aspects of human resources activities, including but not limited to employee relations, onboarding/offboarding, employee engagement, and compensation. company’s global studios HR, providing a consistent approach in line with Game Closure culture while respecting geographic and cultural differences.
 
Responsibilities
●  Experience managing employee relations matters in a start-up environment.
●  Develop new and/or existing HR tools, policies, procedures, and practices; make recommendations for improvements and changes.
●  Interpret and apply an understanding of Game Closure’s policies, employment laws, and compliances.
●  Work to promote an innovative and creative culture where employees can achieve high levels of job satisfaction and productivity.
●  Partnership with Game Closure’s Talent Team to anticipate hiring needs and challenges and provide input into solutions; plans and manages employee orientation/ onboarding activities to foster positive attitude toward studio goals and integration of new hires.
●  Work closely with our legal department to coordinate work permits and visas for any foreign employees/candidates.
●  Analyze salary reports and create a global comprehensive and competitive compensation program that is industry specific and aligns with organizational objectives.
●  Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation; conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
●  Thorough understanding of human resources principles and practices, including but not limited to wage and hour, employment law, safety, and immigration.
●  Ability to work flexibly and calmly in order to effectively respond to multiple changing business priorities
●  A perceptive, strong listener who can relate to individuals at all levels and is able to establish and maintain effective relationships with other management staff, employees, and the general public
●  Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
●  Strong interpersonal skills.
●  Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.

Requirements
●  Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business, other relevant field, or equivalent work experience.
●  5+ years of broad HR knowledge and experience.
●  This position requires an experienced, data-driven, analytical, collaborative and influential HR professional who can work effectively within creative teams.
●  Proven record leading, and delivering high quality HR services across all disciplines to all levels of employees.
●  Strong team player who builds collaborative relationships with Operations and Talent team.
●  Proven success utilizing employee attraction, engagement, and retention strategies.
●  Superior interpersonal, and communications skills (both written and verbal).
●  High degree of business acumen; results oriented with an ability to work independently.
●  Able to excel in an ever-changing environment using a leadership mindset.
●  Self-starter, highly motivated and achievement oriented.
●  Able to maintain a strict code of confidentiality and discretion.

We are also known on LINE Quick Games with Battle Cats Galaxy, and we helped launch Snapchat's new game platform with Snake Squad. Position Summary:
You will support Game Closure executives (including the CEO and Head of Operations) to help manage the schedules and communications, as well as implement strategy, manage projects and address both inward and outward-facing issues. You work well independently, have strong logical, analytical and relationship-building skills, and have ample people and project management experience. You are flexible, agile, and discreet.

Responsibilities:
In addition to managing the many projects and priorities of our executive team, you will serve as a conduit and aide to GC executives on major projects and initiatives with the purpose of best leveraging their time, reducing roadblocks, increasing impact, and accelerating progress.

Tasks include:

  • Act as the point of contact among executives, employees, clients and other external partners, where you will direct and manage information flow in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage projects as directed by the executive team - from an impromptu cocktail hour for investors to a total rebrand of the company, work to identify and coordinate vendors, prepare budgets, and fill in anywhere necessary to deliver a high-quality result. 
  • Facilitate scheduling by working with the executives to strategically manage organizational calendars, such that activities reflect the greatest priorities on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. 
  • Assist in travel booking and arrangements for executives and other company employees.
  • Preparing financial statements, reports, memos, invoices, letters, and other documents; handle basic bookkeeping tasks. 
  • Research and collect data, prepare documents for review and presentation by executives.
  • Monitor and administer the purchase of office supplies/snacks/technology inventory and vendors.
  • Provide general administrative and technical support including managing digital services and accounts.

Qualifications:

  • College-degree from top/nationally-ranked college or university.
  • Diplomacy: Success in past roles speaking truth to power and leading effectively across organizational units through influence and without direct authority. Must have keen interpersonal skills, excellent judgment, and a strong sense of tact and discretion. 
  • Flexibility: Comfortable operating both at the board level and at administrative and tactical level, handling whatever is required to support the executives and their agenda. 
  • Proactive: Ability to work autonomously, in ambiguous situations with little direction, running towards problems without being asked; solutions-oriented with strong judgment for the right course of action in any given situation. 
  • Organized and Organizing: Must be able to react to time-sensitive matters as well as manage complex, longer-term initiatives. Solid personal organizational skills as well as ability to support others in managing time and priorities. 
  • Communicator: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to write compellingly in another person’s “voice,” and represent another’s point of view in meetings.

Availability:

  • The organization and our executives operate in multiple time zones and on weekends. Therefore, you must be available for occasional off-hours work, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends. There is a high potential to grow in the role as the company rapidly expands.

  • Proficiency in all major communication and social media tools, video conferencing platforms, and office software (G-Suite).

Location:

  • San Francisco, CA with some travel to Mountain View, CA, with some flexibility for remote work
