Overview

The Product Manager will be responsible for core functional aspects such as trading, funding and onboarding workflows for the Kraken exchange. The ideal candidate is data-driven, process oriented, technically adept and has a proven track record of achievement.

Responsibilities include product expertise, the creation of product requirements, project schedules and supporting materials in partnership with design, content, technology and service teams. The product manager provides day-to-day cross-functional leadership to ensure the timely delivery of projects which meet established feature, usability, content and quality requirements.

The successful candidate should thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, process-driven environment and be able to adapt and adjust plans on-the-fly. The position requires interaction with a wide variety of internal stakeholders at various levels of the organization. Candidates must possess the ability and willingness to balance consumer needs with business priorities and articulate the rationale behind decisions. They must also have exceptional project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of the overall product strategy, product roadmap, and business plan
  • Perform research to gain market insights across the industry
  • Work closely with customers and key stakeholders to define and develop detailed product and business requirements
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing and ensure requirements were understood and implemented as requested
  • Evaluate new product opportunities and bring forward proposals for products to engage traders, investors and institutions
  • Influence product and technology strategy and direction (roadmap), and product and user experience decision-making
  • Manage engagement with customers, internal and external parties
  • Evangelize the power of analytics and experimentation in building a data-driven organization
  • Actively prioritize product backlog , pre planning, prioritization and user story mapping sessions
  • Develop product documentation including specifications, wireframes, site-maps, and process flows. 
  • Facilitate communication across all project phases and proactively alert management of changes to scope, timelines and resources 
  • Ensure proper integration and scalability of shared systems, products and tools

Requirements

  • Intimate knowledge of the cryptocurrency exchange space
  • Experience in trading on cryptocurrency exchanges
  • 2-3 years of product management experience 
  • Expertise in data gathering and quantitative analysis
  • Solution oriented, highly-motivated and proactive self-starter 
  • Strong grasp of information architecture and user experience best practices

About the Role:

Kraken is looking for a Marketing Designer to be an integral part of the company's ambitious growth plans, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Data Analytics teams to bring the core value of Kraken to new audiences across mobile and web.

Overview

The Product Manager will be responsible for the financial backend systems at Kraken.  As we expand our global integrations and work with new payment partners, having the tooling to ensure total accountability and smooth financial operations becomes vital.  Responsibilities include owning systems that accurately log and control all backend financial activities, close collaboration with operations teams, detailing of product requirements and end-to-end execution together with the technology and service teams.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 5+ years of international HR experience with at least 2 of the 5 years in a leadership role

  • Proven experience in HR policy and procedural documentation development, drafting, and maintenance

About the role:

The Finance team at Kraken is a group of specialists charged with managing the firm’s liquidity, capital and risk, and providing the overall financial controls and reporting functions for executive decision making, compliance, and audit readiness. Our work contributes directly to Kraken’s success. The newly created Platform Data Analytics and Accounting office within the Finance organization will define our financial data requirements, systems, and processes across all Kraken products, services, geographies, and legal entities. 

As Kraken continues to expand the scope of services offered to our clients, the complexity of the exchange and the platform accounting function continues to evolve.  We are seeking a Platform Accounting Manager to partner with the existing Platform Accounting Manager to oversee all accounting and reporting activities related to the exchange platform, and develop sound accounting processes.  You will work closely with the leaders within Finance and other teams to plan, implement, improve, automate, test, and ensure the Platform Accounting team produces insightful data for management, improves the quality of our financial statements, and boosts our audit readiness.

What you'll do:

  • Join an elite Platform Accounting team to drive improvements and automation for all internal processes 
  • Refine the current processes, automate, strengthen controls for major and minor activities going through the exchange
  • Establish an exceptional Reconciliation team with strong internal controls to ensure all funding and trading transactions are accounted for and reconciled.
  • Contribute to the improvement of the real-time reconciliation tool and  maintain informative dashboards
  • Work with the Accounting team to prioritize projects and audit readiness tasks
  • Collaborate with the Data team to identify data and reporting needs for existing and new processes
  • Draft process documentations and policies related to platform accounting processes
  • Provide business requirements for new products and services (e.g. DeFi, new services, assets, geographies, or legal entities)
  • Provides specifications and mock-up reports to improve data completeness, usefulness and accuracy 
  • Oversee the accounting for the OTC activities

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Management Information Systems; CPA in good standing status is required; 
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in an accounting manager role in the financial exchanges, financial services or fintech industries; or Big 4 advisory experience in audit readiness for similar industries 
  • Experience using SQL to set up queries in a data warehouse.

Overview

About the role (Fully remote) 

Help us scale Cryptowatch, Kraken's professional charting and trading platform into the mobile app ecosystem. Cryptowatch has grown organically from a tiny weekend project to a popular real-time cryptocurrency charting and trading platform which people rely on all over the world. We are looking for mobile engineers interested in building a performant iOS and Android app. You will be responsible for building these applications whilst ensuring the code written is scalable, reusable and works well across multiple applications inside our repository, as well as coordinating with teams responsible for other layers of the product infrastructure. Building a product is a highly collaborative effort, and as such, a strong team player with a commitment to perfection is required.

As a Training Lead, you would be responsible for the development and implementation of the Client Engagement’s e-learning and instructor-led training plans for all teams within the Client Engagement department. In this role you would partner with Client Engagement’s functional leadership, quality assurance team members, and other team leads in order to construct and modify training, identify learning and development opportunities within the team, and add easily digestible content to our learning management system as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Construct e-learning modules within our LMS environment

About the role:

The Tax Planning Senior Manager is responsible for managing tax research projects and tax controversy matters. This role will report to the Head of Tax and have broad involvement in company global planning strategies, geographic expansion, product analysis and transfer pricing.

  • Carry out deep and detailed technical tax research in all areas of tax planning, including income taxes, indirect taxes and other taxes, as matters arise

The Tax Operations Senior Manager is responsible for directing and managing Kraken’s worldwide tax provision and tax reporting  processes. Reporting into the Head of Tax, this role will also  support tax examinations and audits, planning and special projects.

  • Be an integral part of building and executing a road map for the future of the tax operations function
  • Work with the accounting and FP&A in developing effective processes and technologies to support continued growth and scalability of the tax operations function

About the Role

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Frontend developer interested in working on a greenfield internal Admin interface project built using Next.js and React. About the role:

The Finance team at Kraken is a group of specialists charged with managing the firm’s liquidity, capital and risk, and providing the overall financial controls and reporting functions for executive decision making, compliance, and audit readiness.   • Build and grow the Finance Transformation and Platform Operations (FTPO) team and be the go-to person for leading and driving all technology-driven and automation initiatives for the Finance team
  • Oversee and continue to strengthen the Platform Accounting function
  • Establish an exceptional Reconciliation team to establish stronger internal controls and to ensure all transactions are properly accounted for in the banking/crypto gateways and in the exchange
  • Liaise with the Product, IT and Data teams to build and maintain a real-time  reconciliation tool as well as maintain informative dashboards
  • Liaise with external auditors for platform accounting matters

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; CPA required; MBA preferred
  • 15+ years experience and proven track record in finance transformation, finance operations roles in the financial exchanges, financial services or fintech industries; or Big 4 advisory experience in Finance Transformation or similar 
  • Knowledge of trading platforms, financial markets and strong passion in cryptocurrency

  • Interface daily with internal systems and our proprietary exchange platform to assist with fiat and digital asset position reconciliations across our various banks and wallets.

We are looking for an applications Business Systems Analyst who will play a crucial role in building the next generation of Kraken’s applications and data platforms.  This strategic position will be part of a strong team that will play a pivotal role in Kraken’s ERP, financial applications and the integrations connecting them.  This role will work within a small workgroup to design, build/implement, iterate, support, maintain and enhance a set of financial platforms.  You should be a talented and experienced business systems analyst with a strong background in selecting and implementing leading finance SaaS applications. As a Business Systems Analyst within the Enterprise Solutions team, you will have a variety of responsibilities, including advising on our long-term roadmap to ensure scalable and innovative solutions, while “keeping the lights on” by configuring existing applications and automations.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the finance organization to turn short- and long-term business needs into high quality, scalable, secure systems to enable Kraken’s dynamic growth in a strategic manner
  • Drive partnership with the finance organization through a deep understanding of underlying finance processes to drive system strategy/vision, design and implementation
  • Work closely with management and business partners to prioritize and build our team’s long-term planning
  • Manage system enhancement projects from design through implementation and support: expect to get your hands into the details - this role will be working directly with users to gather requirements, implementing, testing and deploying new features on a regular basis
  • Work in our best-of-breed finance applications infrastructure

Requirements

  • Proven track record of having implemented, enhanced and supported enterprise class financial systems - which includes planning, analysis and design, configuration, development, data migrations, system testing, cutover plan, and production support
  • Demonstrable ability to work autonomously, manage and lead small to medium projects or parts of larger programs requiring program management involvement
  • Solid understanding of current market trends in SaaS financial applications from process, vendor and end user perspective
  • Advanced knowledge of overall finance business processes, with in-depth knowledge of Order-to-Cash processes preferred
  • Excellent understanding of IT processes, including SDLC and change management
  • High level of intellectual curiosity to understand current state, identify issues and provide solutions, while advising on potential positive and negative implications of decisions

What you’ll do:
