The Role:
Loom is looking for engineers to propel the next iteration of our creation and collaboration tools forward. As a company, we are looking to accelerate information flow between every member of the global workforce. Be it making Loom's video creation tools faster or more delightful, or surfacing the right content in a shared team library to the right audience, you will be building the base of how Loom functions as a workplace communication tool. 

Responsibilities:

  • You will build a beautiful, snappy, and native-feeling UI experiences across all of our product teams from video creation to enterprise.
  • You will optimize and set new standards for application-level tooling to measure product stability and speed.
  • You will build product features end-to-end: through conception, exploration, iteration, maintenance, and polish.
  • You will own the products that you build and become the domain expert on those subjects within the organization.
  • You will collaborate with Product, Design, and Infrastructure to architect features and break down high-level goals into tasks and timelines.
  • You will design tools and frameworks that empower other developers.
  • You will help with interviewing other talented engineers that want to join Loom.

What We're Looking For:

  • 8+ years of professional JavaScript experience.
  • 2+ years of ReactJS (or similar) experience.
  • Passion for productivity tools and supporting power users.
  • Great design intuition and user empathy.
  • Passion for UI fluidity and performance.
  • Ability to readily learn most technologies on-the-go.

The Role:
As a People Operations Generalist at Loom, you will be the operational backbone of the People team supporting Loommates all over the world. You will manage the systems and processes that are critical to providing a great employee experience. You will be the first point of contact for Loommates globally helping them navigate our various People programs. You will join our growing People team and work closely with partners in Finance, Workplace, IT and Legal.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding for global employee base
  • Manage our HRIS ensuring data integrity, reporting and record-keeping
  • Develop and maintain documentation for manager and employee self-service
  • Respond and resolve requests from Loommates on all People Programs (Perks & Benefits, Compliance Trainings, L&D allowance etc.)
  • Create reports, dashboards, and metrics and assist in all audits and compliance reporting
  • Partner with our Payroll team and be the point of contact for submitting any updates (compensation changes, state benefits coordination etc.) ahead of payroll processing

What We're Looking For

  • 2-5 years of experience in People Operations within a high-growth environment
  • Familiarity with multiple HR areas including HRIS, Payroll, Benefits and Compliance

  • Architect, design and develop distributed, high-throughput, and low-latency infrastructure systems with a strong focus on availability, resilience, and durability
  • Drive technology decisions for the infrastructure technology stack and develop long-term systems roadmaps throughout Loom's engineering team

What We're Looking For:

  • You have a solid understanding of systems and application design, including the operational trade-offs of different architectures
  • Experience operating production databases (Postgres, Redis)at scale, including relevant performance tuning, monitoring, other optimizations
  • Adept at root cause analysis in a distributed GNU/Linux systems environment and are comfortable tracing problems through applications, databases, systems, and networks
  • You like to build tools that automate your job, and have deep knowledge of at least one programming language, e.g. Go, Python, Ruby, Javascript, etc
  • You have experience working with technologies like AWS services, service mesh (istio), container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, monitoring (Datadog, Prometheus)

The Role:
This role is part of our international Support team which is focused on providing the best product experience to all our Loom customers. You will be responsible for assisting users via email and live chat (Zendesk) and you will be a key part of Loom's support experience for our Enterprise customers. You will work closely with the rest of the Support team and the Engineering team to help drive engagement and product improvements.

Important note: We are looking for candidates in the Pacific Time Zone (around GMT -8:00) to work a full time schedule that may span weekends and/or holidays, as our customers need us.

Responsibilities:

  • Help customers through email and live chat (Zendesk) to ensure they are successful with our product
  • Work closely with the Engineering team to become a Loom product expert and serve as a technical consultant to the rest of the support team
  • Take escalated issues from Tier 1 support and drive them through resolution on a timely manner
  • Identify, document, and report bugs and customer feature requests to share with our Product and Engineering teams
  • Create and update documentation based on customer interactions, workflow changes and product updates

What We're Looking For:

  • 3+ years of experience in SaaS companies working in Technical Support for large international customer accounts
  • Experience delivering excellent support experiences with respect, empathy and understanding
  • Gained experience/proficiency in SaaS solutions and electron apps (CSS, JavaScript, HTML) or have earned a degree in a technical field like computer science
  • Have the technical understanding and ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems on your own
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Nice to Have:

  • Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Windows and Mac

The Role:
Loom is looking for an engineer to join our Core Video team to propel the efficiency, reliability, and speed of our video creation, editing, and viewing experiences forward. As a member of this team, you will create and optimize cross-platform technologies that power our video products. Our small Core Video team builds the technology directly responsible for the magical experience that Loom is known for providing its users, joining it, you will be at the core group of individuals determining our path for innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect and build features for our native recording layers on our Windows and Mac applications with minimal impact to client-side performance
  • Lead the design and implementation of features that make people reconsider the idea that creating that perfect video has to take a long time
  • Investigate performance and reliability issues within our video pipeline that will directly impact our recording success rates, and therefore the perception of Loom's overall brand
  • Architect and build an efficient view processing pipeline so that our recordings are instantly available and viewable under various network conditions
  • Work intimately with our infrastructure team to optimize our ingest layer for our global userbase
  • Have ownership and input over the Core Video team's roadmap and, therefore, significantly impact the company's strategy
  • Optimize your code for developer efficiency and make it work on all the platforms that Loom offers its recording products on (iOS, Android, Mac, Windows, Chrome Extension)

What We're Looking For:

Loom makes it simple to create HD video content and have it instantly available to share with anyone in the world. As Loom's Managing Editor, you'll be responsible for planning and coordinating all of the end-to-end logistics of a robust editorial calendar. You'll work with a growing team of freelancers and in-house contributors to build a foundation of content that helps establish Loom as a thought leader in effective communication.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an editorial calendar that includes multiple content types (articles, videos, webinars, case studies, infographics, ebooks, etc.) across multiple channels (the Loom blog, social media, email newsletters, offsite publications, YouTube, etc.) throughout the funnel (from awareness through expansion)
  • Own the distribution, optimization, and maintenance of content, ensuring everything we share meets our high quality bar, serves our specific goals, and creates exceptional value for our audience
  • Work with the Content Marketing Lead to plan Loom's editorial direction, including topics to cover, new channels to explore, keywords to target and so on
  • Partner cross-functionally to execute content campaigns in support of other initiatives (e.g., product launches, company news, employer brand)
  • Use software such as Asana, Webflow, HubSpot, Google Analytics, Notion, Mode, and other tools necessary for planning, publishing, and analyzing high-performing content.

What We're Looking For:

  • 3+ years of experience in communications, journalism, or editorial roles
  • 1+ years of direct experience in content roles, ideally in SaaS — experience with video content is a plus
  • A proven record of creating content that had a measurable impact
  • Understanding of SEO best practices and SaaS business metrics to connect content initiatives to company goals

The role
Loom is looking for engineers to propel the next iteration of our creation and collaboration tools forward. As a company, we are looking to accelerate information flow between every member of the global workforce. Be it making Loom's video creation tools faster or more delightful, or surfacing the right content in a shared team library to the right audience, you will be building the base of how Loom functions as a workplace communication tool. 

Responsibilities:

  • You will build a beautiful, snappy, and native-feeling UI experiences across all of our product teams from video creation to enterprise
  • You will optimize and set new standards for application-level tooling to measure product stability and speed
  • You will build product features end-to-end: through conception, exploration, iteration, maintenance, and polish
  • You will own the products that you build and become the domain expert on those subjects within the organization
  • You will collaborate with Product, Design, and Infrastructure to architect features and break down high-level goals into tasks and timelines
  • You will design tools and frameworks that empower other developers
  • You will help with interviewing other talented engineers that want to join Loom

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of professional JavaScript experience
  • 2+ years of ReactJS (or similar) experience
  • Passion for productivity tools and supporting power users
  • Great design intuition and user empathy
  • Passion for UI fluidity and performance
  • Ability to readily learn most technologies on-the-go
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment with a high degree of autonomy

Not Required, but a Plus:

  • Experience with implementing GraphQL in production environments
  • Experience with implementing one of the following:
  • Online video editing suites
  • Architecting and implementing of billing/payments infrastructure
  • Content recommendation engines
  • Video streaming infrastructure with HLS
  • Fluency with Typescript
  • 2+ years spent as a Sr Engineer or Tech Lead
  • Experience working in a start-up or similar fast-paced environment

The role
Loom is looking for our first product manager to oversee our core platform including our PC, Mac, and Chrome Extension recorders as well as our web platform. We're changing behavior in the workplace by introducing a new medium of communication. That does not happen often. You will be reporting directly to the founder and CEO who currently fills the role.

This is an exciting time here at Loom. We’re introducing Team and Enterprise offerings over the next 6 months, rolling out our first mobile experience, and looking to tap into the innovation afforded to us via the meta data captured in video. You will be responsible for working with the leadership team to make sure we’re having the most impact for the people and companies who use Loom and aligning that with strategic business value.

Your Responsibilities

  • Talk with customers to help define the roadmap and ensure we are building the right stuff
  • Clearly define and communicate product requirements
  • Drive prioritization for new feature development
  • Work cross functionally with Loom's design, engineering, growth, and sales teams to develop concepts and troubleshoot issues
  • Help the team define and track key success metrics
  • Collaborate with marketing on messaging, positioning and GTM plans

Requirements

  • You love video and believe in its magic to make working more efficient and expressive
  • 3+ years of product management experience
  • You track record for building successful products alongside world class designers and engineers
  • You know when to use data to guide you and when to rely on your great product instincts
  • You're an excellent communicator, natural bridge-builder and unhealthy conflict defuser
  • You're a positive influence and a leader
  • You have an ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment with a high degree of autonomy

Not Required, but a Plus

  • Technical background or technical fluency
  • Experience with subscription software and freemium products, additional plus if horizontal SaaS
  • Experience working in a start-up or similar fast-paced, scrappy environment
  • Comfortable presenting to large groups of people
