In the short term, you will:

  • Become familiar with our code base, code style, tech stack, development and deployment process, and our project management process
  • Individually build and test frontend components as well as work with a cross-functional pod to support development of new features
  • Refactor, QA, and improve existing code

In the long term, you will:

  • Be an expert with all of our tooling: Bugsnag, FullStory, HotJar, Metabase, Heroku, New Relic, and more
  • Bring creative solutions to projects to support the continual improvement of Scott's Cheap Flights
  • Take ownership of end to end feature and product development and help scale our frontend
  • Serve as an advocate for engineering best practices and help the team explore and implement new technology

What you bring to the table:

  • Experience working on new product development
  • Hands on expertise with JavaScript frameworks, and ideally, an affinity for React
  • Basic Rails understanding, or a strong interest in learning
  • Experience writing automated unit tests, with bonus points for integrated and functional testing experience
  • Templating and styling expertise, developing websites and apps from scratch using HTML5 and CSS with bonus points for any styled components in React

As Senior Product Manager on our Flight Data & Deal Personalization team you will be responsible for collaborating with our flight experts to rethink and improve upon our deal discovery and delivery tooling. Additionally, you will be responsible for understanding the wants and needs of our current and future customers and building products and features that empower members to never overpay for flights again. You will be a part of the Scott's Cheap Flights Product Team and will report to the Head of Product.

In the short term, you will:

  • Collaborate closely with our flight experts to gain a deep understanding of our deal discovery, delivery systems, and processes with an eye towards innovations that lead to significant efficiency improvements
  • Establish a regular cadence of facilitating product research by meeting with potential members and active members to better identify and understand their needs and desires as it relates to airfare
  • Lead documentation and communication throughout the entirety of the product lifecycle for both technical processes as well as cross-functional teams that may be affected by changes.
  • Gather and prioritize requirements from members and internal stakeholders to build, iterate, and own the flight-specific product roadmap for Scott's Cheap Flights

In the long term, you will:

  • Develop and ship major improvements to our deal discovery and delivery systems that greatly improve the workflows and efficiency of our flight experts
  • Develop and ship compelling, engaging, and revenue-generating products that ensure members never overpay for flights again
  • Own the process and execution of user research, product research, and go to market strategy.
  • Exhibit a deep knowledge of our member personas, airfare & travel, target markets, competitors, and industry trends
  • Manage the strategy for your pillar and own the cross-functional project management that is involved in implementing the roadmap.

As Senior Recruiter, you will be responsible for leading and guiding the talent acquisition function at Scott's Cheap Flights. This includes sourcing, recruitment, recruiting-related compliance, DEI, budgeting, and employee experience. You will work across all departments to help scale their teams and ensure we are hiring the best and brightest to Scott's Cheap Flights using the best strategies and processes in order to continue developing our culture. Over the next 12 months, we will be doubling the size of the team, hiring anywhere from 25 to 40 new team members in order to continue delivering the best possible experience for our members and team.

In the short term, you will:

  • Learn and understand the Scott's Cheap Flights product offering and how each team supports our mission, culture, and organization as a whole
