Sales Operations
Sales Operations’ dual mission is to support our frontline sales team to enable growth while ensuring good student outcomes. Accountable for delivering on courses, features, and improvements with its own resources, the Sales Operations team understands requests (and the underlying problems to solve), ideates solutions, and then objectively prioritizes those against a roadmap designed around those parallel goals. 

The Opportunity
Success in our career track programs means we need to scale our Sales org with experienced Sales Operations Associates who would like to join a fun and fast paced company. We’re looking for a tenacious, systems-oriented professional with excellent communication skills, a deep sensitivity to the user, a problem-solving and analytical aptitude, and strong project management competencies. As the Sales Operations Associate - Campaign Design, you’ll report to the Sales Operations Manager and be responsible for defining new ideas and features, analyzing data, and constantly looking for new ways to improve existing processes. 

Responsibilities

  • Core Responsibility: defining and owning high-impact end-to-end projects, including ideation, scoping, implementation, and measuring success (incl future iterations).
  • Design and launch: Optimizations in Sales flows; Build of new features to better qualify leads respective to target criteria; Sales/Adm processes for new products
  • Implementation of sales acceleration tools and improvement of sales team efficiency
  • Development and measurement of the effectiveness of our existing platforms
  • Management of automated and scheduled outbound communications 
  • Creation and maintenance of process/feature documentation ensuring that standards and processes are clearly accessible in a central knowledge base 
  • Finding and implementing innovative solutions to complex operational escalations
  • Provide support our Sales team as they close the best leads while focusing on student success and retention

You

  • Have 1-2 years of relevant experience, working in a highly cross-functional or user-facing role
  • Have a track record of defining and deploying successful projects
  • Have excellent communication (verbal & written) and people skills, especially with remote team members
  • Have experience working in CRMs (Hubspot preferred)
  • Will put our students first; will be the biggest advocate for our students in any meeting

  • Conduct Analysis and Offer Insights: find meaningful information in the data, detect trends, identify opportunities for experiments and outline primary and secondary metrics to track
  • Experiment: implement and run new marketing experiments (including regular A/B tests)

You have:

  • 2+ years of email marketing experience, using marketing automation platforms like Hubspot or similar tools
  • Working knowledge of HTML
  • Experience with Excel/Google Sheets, Pivot Tables, Vlookup, etc.

Data Engineering Course Office Hours Host

Springboard runs an online Data Engineering Career Track in which participants learn with the help of a curated, project-based curriculum and 1-1 guidance from an expert mentor.

As part of the program, students have access to a variety of different resources which includes weekly Office Hours with a Data Engineer.

Data Engineering Career Track is a 6-month intensive bootcamp and we are looking for an Office Hours Host to help support students outside of their mentor calls.

Requirements

  • Host and facilitate weekly 30-minute Zoom video call sessions to students (the time commitment will be 30 minutes/week)
  • Provide high quality responses to technical/curricular questions in each office hour
  • Each Office Hour will be 30 minutes long, sessions will either be a QA format or alumni can present their completed projects.
  • The OH Host will be expected to be familiar with Springboard support and the curriculum.
  • Welcome each cohort of students and regularly share relevant events, resources, articles with the students during the session.

Requirements

  • Are as passionate about teaching Data Engineering as about Data Engineering itself
  • Have at least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or Data Developer or related fields (Machine Learning, Data Scientist, etc)
  • Azure cloud experience preferred
  • Professional experience with SQL and an OOP language like Python or Java
  • Have an excellent understanding of fundamental data engineering skills, tools, and concepts including working with Big Data (Hadoop, Spark), Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), building data pipelines (batch/streaming, APIs), orchestration (Airflow), and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).

  • Partner with Sales leadership to enhance existing technology and design/implement new sales acceleration tools to improve sales team efficiency

  • You have 3-4 years of experience in tools administration and configuration, IT support, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience working in Hubspot and Five9
  • Have technological proficiency; are the kind of person who picks up on new things quickly and can become an expert fast

  • Ability to understand the technical aspects of tools and quickly learn how to extract the most value from them

Lead Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert

Due to the persistent labor gap, we’ve identified cybersecurity as the next vertical in which we feel there’s a need for hands-on, mentor-led, career-focused learning. 

The Opportunity
We’re looking for an expert to help us build a cybersecurity course. 
This will be an online 6- to 9-month program designed to help students find an entry-level blue-team cybersecurity analyst job within 6 months of graduation. You’ll set the vision to ensure we’re teaching all that is needed to succeed as a cybersecurity analyst, in the different domains of policy, networking, and technical tools. Your work will include designing instructional modules and exercises so students can both learn and practice applying fundamental cybersecurity concepts, helping them shine during interviews and ultimately on the job.

This role will be a part-time contract role for a duration of ~4 months starting immediately. We estimate a workload of roughly 20 hours per week and ask that you’re available to work synchronously during PST hours on weekdays. Given the current pandemic, this will be a remote opportunity. This is a paid engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Set the vision for effectively teaching the key cybersecurity concepts required to secure an entry-level position
  • Work with a Springboard instructional designer to define learning outcomes and structure a curriculum of learning modules, exercises, or other teaching methods to realize that vision
  • Support instructional design in curating content and building modules as required 
  • Design exercises that allow students to improve their cybersecurity skills through live practice and industry exposure, including in lab environments
  • Create rubrics for mentors to evaluate student work (in projects & lab environments)
  • Provide supporting lesson descriptions in the Springboard format
  • Provide expert guidance on the most effective strategies and tactics to help graduates stand out during their cybersecurity interviews

You have

  • Experience as a hiring manager for entry-level cybersecurity roles
  • Currently working in cybersecurity in the US for 5+ years, preferably with experience in both network security and application security
  • Clear point of view on what skills are needed in an entry-level cybersecurity role and how to teach them in a structured manner
  • Strong familiarity with NIST CSF and other industry-wide standards
  • Advanced understanding of core cybersecurity tools, including Kali Linux, Wireshark, Splunk, Snort, etc.
  • CISSP certification and basic understanding of the certification landscape
  • Passion for educating and guiding the next generation of cybersecurity analysts
  • Strong communication & collaboration skills and diligence in meeting deadlines 
  • Ability to work independently and produce high-quality work without extensive supervision

  • Cybersecurity experience in multiple industries or at multiple companies
  • Experience producing educational materials (especially for cybersecurity)

The Opportunity
As we grow in India, we’re looking to bring on a tenacious, empathetic member of our Admissions team, who will work with our prospective students (working professionals with 5 to 7 years of work experience) to ensure strong enrollments in our courses. Your role will be to educate, inspire, and skillfully guide potential Springboard students through the application and enrollment process. You’ll have the unique opportunity to support prospective learners, help them understand our courses, and make better educational choices. Success in this role is measured by hitting and exceeding monthly enrollment targets, consistently staying ahead of daily metrics, and handling rejection in stride, all in an education-focused environment. 

What You'll Do

  • Play a key role in scaling enrollments for Springboard India for its programs
  • Counsel prospective learners to help them understand how they should approach their learning decision, solve their issues(including ones related to AI/ML at a top level) and guide them to make the enrollment decision
  • Identify and understand where a prospective learner is wrt to decision making, what would make them make an informed decision in favor of Springboard and take/execute required action/activities accordingly
  • Monitor and manage a number of moving parts at any given moment, such as interviews with applicants and mentors, the collection of user feedback, and reporting of admissions performance
  • Work closely with our marketing, communications, and operations teams to best optimize the admissions funnel and drive enrollments
  • Provide consistent, organized reporting to internal stakeholders; ensure timely information flow between Operations and Marketing

What You'll Need

  • 1-2 years of experience in Inside Sales
  • Experience working on CRM
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills. Empathetic and considerate with prospective learners to understand their POV
  • Emphatic attention to detail and an interest in tech
  • An understanding/deep interest in the field of Data Science and AI/ML is highly preferred
  • Ability to work autonomously in ambiguous, quickly-evolving environments
  • Flexibility and the ability to handle pressure under tight deadlines, particularly when having to pick up new projects on the fly

Data Engineer - Lead Subject Matter Expert

At Springboard, we are on a mission to bridge the skills gap by delivering high-quality, affordable education for new economy skills. We’ve already launched hundreds of our students into Data Science careers through our top-rated Data Science course that pairs students with an industry mentor and offers them a Job Guarantee.  

Now we’re expanding our Data Science course offerings, and we’re looking for an expert who has a strong background in Data Engineering to help us build a new Data Engineering course in the coming months. This is a unique opportunity to put your expertise into action to educate the next generation of Data Engineers and increase your domain mastery through teaching. 

The course will be an online 6-to-9 month program designed to help students find a job within 6 months of completion. You’ll set the vision to ensure we’re teaching all that is needed to succeed as a Data Engineer. Your work will include creating projects and other materials to define students’ learning experiences.  

This role will be a part-time contract role for a duration of 3~4 months (starting immediately) with potential for ongoing consulting work. We estimate a workload of roughly 15-20 hours/ week. You can work with us out of our office in San Francisco or remotely. This is a paid engagement. 

Responsibilities:

You’ll work with our curriculum development team to create a Data Engineering course.

As part of this role, you will

  • Set the vision for effectively teaching key data engineering concepts and skills
  • Define learning objectives and course structure (units and projects)
  • Collaborate with the instructional designers and other subject matter experts to build the full curriculum. This includes:
  • Designing, writing, and building course projects (and associated resources)
  • Curating high-quality resources (videos, articles) that effectively teach course topics 
  • Writing descriptions that summarize and explain the importance of each topic covered in the course
  • Create rubrics for mentors to evaluate student work (especially course projects)

Experience

  • Currently working as a Data Engineer in the U.S. for 3+ years including experience with data warehousing, ETL, big data systems, data modeling and schema design, and owning data quality.
  • 1+ years of  experience hiring and/or managing Data Engineers
  • Passion for teaching. Previous teaching experience is a huge bonus.

Skills

  • Understanding of Data Engineering landscape and how the field varies across companies
  • Ability to identify the tools and industry practices students need to learn to successfully become Data Engineers
  • Clear point-of-view on what skills are needed for an entry level Data Engineer role and how to teach them in a structured manner 
  • Proven ability to create projects with clear instructions and documentation
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills

  • Diligent about meeting deadlines
  • A collaborator working efficiently with a diverse group of individuals
  • Receptive and responsive to feedback and are willing to iterate on work

Availability
