We are seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to help build out our new mobile application offering (React Native). You will help build out new mobile access points in React Native. This is a greenfield development opportunity to build and augment well-designed, highly performant mobile apps that support complex business rules.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to delivering our new native mobile application

Your First 30 Days

With support from our Team/Tech Leads, you will immerse yourself in our virtual bootcamp. You will be assigned a single Scrum Team and will work with our Lead Developer, as well as QA and DevOps team to better understand the current product offering (ReactJS/React Native) and take on sprint deliverables. In addition, you will be immersed in our other product offerings to better understand our overall tech stack and our go-forward technical roadmap strategy. 

Your First 60 Days

Along with user stories and product features, you will help work on a backlog of work identified by your scrum team. In addition, you will continue to contribute to an efficient and effective SDLC process and work to better support your Scrum Team.

Your First 90 Days

You will play an integral role in delivering our V1 mobile application in Q4 2020. You will help instill the discipline of effectively monitoring and creating work items from production issues for early adopters. Additionally, you will continue to help implement our technical roadmap and infrastructure items.

About You

We need developers that share our passion for building and scaling cutting-edge web and mobile Apps in a fast-paced startup -  one that already has the benefit of thousands of customers and millions of dollars in revenue. We are looking for candidates who have:

  • 5+ years experience developing native mobile applications

Job Responsibilities

  • Build open communication with your Product Manager, Quality Test Automation Engineers, and fellow Software Engineers to understand and transform business requirements into business-savvy features
  • Solve problems, debug, and optimize code to ensure optimum performance and security
  • Determine optimal solutions for architecture, efficiency, maintainability, and scalability in cooperation with developers and architects
  • Team up with QA to review, approve and design against test cases, ensuring our customers' expectations are fulfilled

  • Perform code reviews for team deliverables to ensure code follows documented standards and best practices
  • Perform full life cycle application development, including researching available technical options for features, providing guidance and feedback on the findings, and building proof of concepts to confirm the best approach

Required Experience

  • 3+ years and strong proficiency across WinForms, .NET Framework (C# and VB.NET), and SQL
  • 2+ years of using Microsoft SQL Server, including stored procedures, indexes, triggers, and functions, exercising sound coding practices, such as unit testing, object-oriented design and programming, and patterns
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related 

Preferred Experience

  • Working knowledge of C#, WPF, Entity Framework, VB.NET, C++, XML, LINQ, SQL Database platform, MSBuild, PowerShell, InstallShield

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager who will act as an enabler in our journey towards realigning our customer experience around a mobile-first approach. 

In collaboration with the Director of Product Management, this position will own the vision, definition and delivery of our mobile strategy and will be a key contributor in our overall product strategy. With over 2,000 customers and a robust partner network, your actions and contributions will have a far-reaching impact on our multi-product business.

  • You're a passionate and experienced Product Manager who is great at understanding and evaluating customers and end user needs
  • You've planned, brought to market and supported multi-functional mobile applications in production for at least one (1) organization in the last two (2) years

60 days - Evaluate, Realign & Define

  • Using the above mentioned framework, reach out to internal and external stakeholders to build relationships and help understand what direction we are going in and why

  • Catalyst-mindset (i.e., the ability to tangibly see the future and quickly and effectively influence the people and tech stack that you work with)
  • Exposure to having introduced a 3rd tier (API) into a monolithic stack
  • API and middle tier Unit Testing frameworks
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent engineering degree
  • Possess strong understanding of the web request/response lifecycle and API design - including versioning, isolation and microservice architectures
