Dataiku is looking for an experienced Technical Support Engineer to join its rapidly growing global Support team. Based out of Asia Pacific, you will be supporting the deployments of its Enterprise AI Platform (Dataiku DSS) to an ever growing and diverse customer base. Normally we hire candidates for our Support team to work a standard Monday to Friday work week. As a Weekend Warrior, you will be working a modified 4 or 5 day work week that always includes Saturday and Sunday to help our customers on a full-time basis.*

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will have the opportunity to showcase your skills as a polished communicator and a trusted technical resource along with being able to demonstrate excellent judgment in prioritization and multitasking. Furthermore, we are looking for someone who loves learning new cutting-edge technologies and getting their hands dirty to solve challenging technical problems, and is naturally driven to become an expert in the space. 

Our ideal candidate is an autonomous individual who is passionate about getting big data and data science technologies working together to solve business problems, and who will efficiently help customers solve their technical issues with Dataiku DSS. In this role, you will help the team

  • Provide technical solutions and respond to technical requests from customers through a variety of different communication channels 
  • Manage and resolve support issues with a high degree of technical complexity
  • Act as a liaison between clients and other Dataiku teams (such as Customer Success, Engineering, Data Science, etc.) to help deliver a fast and efficient resolution to issues or questions that have been raised by our end users 
  • Improve efficiencies by documenting and standardizing support processes along with capturing or developing best practices 
  • Develop tools that will help in diagnosing, resolving, and triaging hard-to-get-at problems
  • Document knowledge in the form of incident notes, technical articles, and contributions to knowledge bases or forums within specific areas of expertise
  • Follow-up on customer commitments in a timely manner, balancing effectively both processes with the need to adapt to the situation, along with relaying lessons learned and feedback internally to our other client-facing and technical teams

You might be a good fit if you have

  • A strong competency in technical problem solving, with demonstrated experience working with advanced log analysis and other debugging techniques 
  • Proficiency working with Unix-based operating systems
  • Comfort working with and reading customer code
  • Experience working with at least one type of relational database and SQL 
  • Grit when faced with technical issues - you don’t rest until you understand what is happening and why things are not working 
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with an aptitude for learning new technologies
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interface with both technical and non-technical individuals as needed 
  • Ability to be autonomous, resourceful, and a proactive self-starter, while also remaining process-oriented and a team player
  • Professional fluency in English is a must Ability and willingness to work a modified work week, which includes the weekends

Bonus points of any of these

  • At least 4 to 6 years of experience in a client-facing engineering or technical role, ideally involving a complex and rapidly evolving software/product 
  • Experience working with a multitude of analytics and big data technologies (such as Hadoop, Spark, Docker/K8s, and various other database or BI technologies)
  • Hands-on experience with Python and/or R
  • Working knowledge of various cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
  • Experience with authentication and authorization systems like LDAP, SAML, and Kerberos
  • Proven track record working in a remote position with a large amount of autonomy
  • Professional or native fluency in either Japanese, Korean, and/or Mandarin is a plus

In this role, you'll get to:

  • Lead a small team of Compensation professionals
  • Lead and ensure effective management of various compensation work streams including salary planning, annual bonus and equity processes and reviewing compensation insights with leadership.

Technical Requirements

Overview

Confluent is searching for an experienced technical leader to manage a global team of rockstar Customer Success Engineers (CSEs).  Our CSEs team serves as proactive and deeply technical guides to our customers as they adopt Confluent’s Stream Data Platform.  Many of these customers use Confluent’s products for strategic and mission critical use cases and your goal will be to help your team apply deep technical expertise to reduce time to value during Onboarding, and to help them achieve their business objectives and get full value from Confluent’s suite of products.   In this role you will focus on driving post-sales customer value and project success while supporting business goals for renewal, expansion and strategic growth.

A typical week at Confluent in this role may involve

  • Managing Customer Success Engineers, and acting as a mentor and coach to help them grow in their careers

Job Description
Couchbase is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented self-starter to join our Pricing team as a Senior Manager. The position reports to the Director of Pricing and will work closely with Product Management, Finance, Sales Operations and Engineering to develop, refine and execute end-to-end pricing & licensing strategies.

In this role, you will be instrumental in creating new pricing & packaging models for both usage-based and term-based subscription offerings and identifying ways to improve pricing performance and profitability through conducting customer segmentation research, competitive analysis, financial modeling & data analytics and providing support to the Deal Desk on optimizing deal structures and reviewing deal profitability.

This position will also work closely with Finance & Engineering to optimize Couchbase cloud spending for our hosted offerings. In this capacity, your responsibilities will include modeling, forecasting and reporting cloud consumption costs and identifying how Couchbase can optimize cloud spending through procuring reserved instances from cloud vendors.

  • 5+ years of experience as a pricing/business analyst
  • Familiarity with software pricing principles, business models, and route-to-market concepts

Working in Couchbase Technical Support you’ll acquire highly coveted skills, essential to this technology, by navigating the world of NoSQL databases and the "big data" eco system. Responsibilities

  • Work with our customers during implementation and production of their Couchbase Server-based applications
  • Troubleshoot and research customer issues. These can range from development time SDK questions to performance tuning or failure analysis
  • Reproduce customer cases for detailed troubleshooting and analysis. This may include writing or modifying code or simulating node failure situations
  • Become a product expert for customers and stay up-to-date on new features in Couchbase
  • Identify and write internal and external technical articles or knowledge-base entries, like typical troubleshooting steps, workarounds or best practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working with users/developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues for backend infrastructure applications (e.g. databases, application servers, Hypervisors, etc.)
  • 5+ years experience managing and troubleshooting Linux and Windows systems.
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience in software and/or a technologically relevant field
  • Strong Unix/Linux administration skills
  • Strong programming experience in one of the following languages: Java/C/Python
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases
  • Experience in troubleshooting distributed high-performance systems
  • Excellent analytical skills, passion for pinning down technical issues, and solving problems
  • Enjoy a fast-paced startup environment
  • Working hours for this role varies depending on coverage. From Monday to Friday with starting time between 8:00 and 11:00 until 17:00 and 20:00.

About the Role:
The Enterprise Account Executive will play a key role in driving Confluent’s sales activities in Japan. In collaboration with Sales, Sales Enablement and Marketing, your responsibilities will include:

  • Drive revenue and engagement with partners in the Americas
  • Handle contractual relationships with these partners
  • Help accelerate our efforts to capture spend and market share with the major cloud providers, AWS, Microsoft and Google
  • Enable the partners to deliver Couchbase products and services to Large Enterprise Customers

A key project we plan to start will be creating a deployment method that allows us to maintain developer velocity whilst also giving reassurances to security conscious customers. 
  • Keeping the lights on as we scale to bigger customers - a crucial part of this role is to ensure that our systems remain reliable and working with engineering teams to drive quality and solve problems.

Responsibilities

What you'll do:

  • Work with the engineering, UX leads and data science team to set strategy, define the feature, and make critical decisions between performance, features, and speed-to-market.

About the opportunity:

This is a senior leadership role to help build out the Commercial organization at Confluent.

As the Programs head for Commercial, you will be working closely with the sales and presales leaders to help design, launch and execute GTM programs and sales campaigns to scale our business. You will be working with sales leadership to understand the requirements at the field level, with marketing to build out the GTM execution and roll out plan, work with internal enablement teams to roll out field enablement and work with product to understand roadmap and upcoming releases.  You will be working with operations teams to ensure that backend processes are set up to execute and scale these GTM programs and systems/KPIs are in place to track the success of these programs. You may also need to work with our Alliances and channels teams and partners to integrate them into your GTM plans. You would be responsible for rolling out these GTM motions and ensuring that they are executed successfully. You will keep the management team updated on the success of these programs and provide guidance on adjustments for increasing efficiencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Experience of rolling out large GTM programs for SaaS/PaaS/IaaS companies 
  • Exposure of working with sales, marketing, product teams to design, formulate and implement sales programs and campaigns
  • Experience of building out process that are required to implement and track large scale programs 
  • Experience of customers in a sales and/or pre sales roleExperience with distributed systems, infrastructure software like databases, message queues, Kubernetes, serverless and/or Big Data products
  • Excellent working with a matrix organizations and leadership through influence
  • Worked on rolling out enablement programs  
  • Clear, consistent demonstration of self-starter behavior and a desire to tackle hard technical problems 
  • Bachelor’s level degree in Computer Science or Business Administration or relevant experience

What gives you an edge:

  • Previous experience building solutions with Apache Kafka
  • Experience of working with partners - especially public cloud providers like AWS, Azure or GCP

  • Experience with Lambda Architecture or other Big Data architectural standard methodologies
  • Solid understanding and experience building microservices and RESTful APIs
  • Experience with Tableau and other BI tools
  • Prior experience working with Analytics and with Data Science teams
  • Proven experience hiring and mentoring high-caliber, data-focused engineers with diverse technical strengths and backgrounds.
  • High-energy self-starter with a passion for data, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of business drivers and of how to drive value using data across the organization
  • Exceptional communication skills and can translate technical concepts into easy-to-understand language for business partners.
  • A graduate degree in Computer Science or a similar subject area

Located in Singapore, your role will be to identify and qualify new sales opportunities to grow Dataiku sales for APAC. You must have the ability to understand the sales development process and technology stack and ensure its adoption. We need a self-starter motivated to constantly improve and optimize the process to drive performance.

What You'll Do

  • Manage a large volume of daily inbound and outbound leads - connecting via phone, email and LinkedIn and qualifying them
  • Engage with our Sales and Marketing executives to design, research and execute outbound vertical and/or geographical markets campaigns to grow sales pipeline in a dedicated territory
  • Work with our Sales Executives to prospect and close large enterprise deals
  • Educate and nurture early-phase prospects for potential future opportunities
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Dataiku DSS and its value proposition and an understanding of the Big Data ecosystem to converse with data and business leaders from SMB to high-growth companies, to large multinationals in industries such as e-commerce, retail, bank, insurance, utilities, and transport

Who You Are
