Role

You will be responsible for building and operationalizing world class hiring infrastructure across our organization, delivering a ‘0 to 1’ transformation that will enable Kraken to scale rapidly and at quality. 
This role will suit an organizer of chaos who is obsessed with detail and consistency, yet can balance the needs of an evolving business to ensure we achieve incremental, continuous improvement through iteration. We believe Recruiting is a product which must be well designed to delight our customers, taking an Agile approach to ensuring we achieve this. ABOUT THE ROLE

The Kraken Client Engagement team continues to grow at an astounding rate and we continue to hire as many talented specialists as we can find. On the Multilingual Support team, we are looking for quality- and results-driven candidates that can provide end-to-end support on a variety of our clients’ requests in multiple languages. This is a full time and fully remote role requiring English fluency and multilingual capabilities. You must have flexibility in your working hours to define your shifts with your Team Leader and be willing to work weekends.

About the Role

The Product Manager will be responsible for the products offered on the Kraken OTC Trading Desk.. The ideal candidate has financial trading knowledge (preferably within cryptocurrency markets) and experience working with institutional clients. Additionally they must be data-driven, process oriented, technically adept and have a proven track record of achievement.

Responsibilities include product and market expertise, the creation of product requirements, project schedules and supporting materials in partnership with design, content, technology and service teams. The product manager provides day-to-day cross-functional leadership to ensure the timely delivery of projects which meet established feature, usability, content and quality requirements.

The successful candidate should thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, process-driven environment and be able to adapt and adjust plans on-the-fly. The position requires interaction with a wide variety of internal stakeholders at various levels of the organization. Candidates must possess the ability and willingness to balance consumer needs with business priorities and articulate the rationale behind decisions. They must also have exceptional project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Create, adjust and deliver overall product strategy and product roadmap
  • Work closely in a cross-functional team environment coordinating with multiple team leads to utilize resources in delivering the OTC Desk needs.
  • Work closely with Head of OTC operations to define and develop detailed product and business requirements
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing and ensure requirements were understood and implemented as requested

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee coverage for compensation and benefits processes and queries
  • Proactively identify and execute on process improvements for compensation & benefits workflows
  • Partner with Finance on stock options planning, and stock option grant proposal for Board approval
  • Advise the KX Leadership team and the Compensation Committee on all matters related to compensation philosophy, bonuses, benefits, and the Total Rewards strategy. 
  • Relentlessly analyze, propose, and execute on complex and/or innovative compensation and benefits programs for our globally distributed workforce
  • Drive evaluation of country-specific compensation and benefit requirements in order to effectively create proposals for employment strategy (employee/contractor/BPO) and benefits to all relevant stakeholders and for the company’s global expansion
  • Analyze changing regulations in compensation and benefits globally, factoring in the impact to Kraken in order to effectively propose strategic changes
  • Lead all mandatory compensation and benefits reporting in accordance with compliance standards
  • Work with the Director of Total Rewards, KX leadership, and other stakeholders to develop objectives, set priorities and plans for the C&B team and contribute to company HR monitoring and reporting
  • Manage and help create job levels, codes, categories and families in partnership with various stakeholders
  • Manage the creation and presentation of well-researched, thorough analyses of compensation and benefits packages on a global scale, taking into consideration the overall business strategy and internal philosophies
  • Measure and report the effectiveness of our benefits programs, identify worker personas, propose a new rewards program, and calculate the cost-benefit
  • Participate as a member of the HR management team in the development of Company policies, guidelines, processes, and strategies

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands on experience in compensation analysis, both domestically and internationally
  • 5+ years as a Compensation and Benefits Manager or other similar role
  • Disciplined self-starter with experience in both a start-up and a large global company strongly preferred, ideally in Tech, Finance
  • Knowledge and experience in building compensation packages and bonus programs for various departments and seniority levels on a global scale
  • Sound knowledge of Regulatory and Legislative imperatives and impacts related to benefits programs (FLSA, Sec 125, ERISA, 409A, HIPAA, etc.), both domestically and internationally
  • Must have extensive experience with compensation research and data analysis as they relate to compliance requirements in the banking or finance verticals

About the Role

  • Serve as the internal coach to leadership and expert consultant on development plans
  • Oversee the design and management of performance evaluation systems and work with HR Business Partners and department heads in designing career development paths

Requirements

  • 10+ years in Learning and Development, Organizational Development, Talent Management with at least 5 years at the Director, Head, or VP level within a global, scaling company
  • Experience managing a remote, globally distributed team in a fast-paced high-growth environment 
  • Experience at a technology company or highly successful start-up 
  • Strong strategic consulting skills
  • Solid understanding of organizational development theory and practice
  • Proven expertise aligning business strategy with HR strategy/solutions

We are looking for a creative and motivated self-starter with attention to detail and a versatile hand for exciting, cheerful illustrations. A visual designer who can produce end-to-end intuitive interfaces that connect the design workflow with product goals, with specialty in custom illustrations and icons. From creating moodboards, designing visual concepts to high fidelity mockups and static prototypes, to providing clear guidelines for development teams implementing designs into front-end code. 

You consider the user experience first and support design decisions with understanding of Gestalt design principles, sensitivity to composition and color, with awareness of local and global cultural references – building scalable illustration systems and explainer graphics to help people use cryptocurrency. You'll be a key member of the design team, collaborating closely with the very best engineers, designers, business leadership, partners and customers in the industry. About the Role

About the Role
 
At Kraken we’re obsessed with our customers and quality of the client services we provide. As a Product Manager for Client Services at Kraken, you will be driving the development of a next generation of reliable, secure, and compliant technology platform that is at the core of client experiences we provide.

In close collaboration with other PMs in the group, you will shape strategic thinking in the area of client services by managing the roadmap. In this position, you will work across client services product teams pairing with the engineering leads across the group and rest of the product development organization.

Site Reliability Engineer - Big Data

As a Site Reliability Engineer in Big Data you will work within a team of world-class engineers to establish and maintain infrastructure which is critical in enabling Kraken to make data-driven decisions.You'll be responsible for helping keep our data platform online and operating at full efficiency. The data platform processes hundreds of thousands of records per second and must provide stable and rapid access for all of our internal users and systems.You'll also have the opportunity to leverage your expertise and help implement best practices with regards to operating data infrastructure in Kubernetes and AWS.

* Monitor and support data infrastructure in UAT and production environments

About the Role

The Finance team at Kraken is a group of specialists charged with managing the firm’s liquidity, capital and risk and providing the overall financial controls and reporting functions for executive decision making, compliance and audit readiness. Our work contributes directly to Kraken’s success. The platform accounting and analytics department (PAA) within Finance supports the vision and mission of finance through use of data and analytics.

The PAA department within Finance is looking for an excellent data analytics manager who will work closely with the director of PAA and other directors within the Finance function to build and manage a cohesive strategy to enhance the consumption of data and analytics to support the objectives of finance function and in turn contribute to the mission of the company. About the Role
The Account Security team is the first point of contact for clients that have trouble accessing their Kraken accounts. Our mission is to securely allow clients to regain access in a timely manner. This includes verification of client’s account ownership, detecting possible account compromise and securing accounts based on risk assessments conducted.

What you'll be doing

About the Role

As the designated Compliance/Risk Officer, you will have responsibility for the regulatory compliance of Kraken with all applicable requirements under Irish law, and support the firm to identify risks and the best way to manage them. You will manage a Compliance & Monitoring Officer in due course and other junior staff as required who will help you to ensure that the firm is at all times in good regulatory standing in Ireland, providing training as appropriate.

The ideal candidate should have experience working in a Fintech or exchange trading environment, with a deep understanding of requirements applicable to activity under PSD2, AMLD5+, Payment Services Regulations, Electronic Money Regulations and Regulatory Technical Standards.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the ongoing compliance of the firm with all applicable requirements (with taking on PCF responsibilities in due course, and any other relevant registrations as applicable)
  • An in-depth understanding of operational risk (including technology security risk, operational resilience and business continuity), conduct risk and prudential risk.

We are looking for Data Analysts who will play a key role in driving decision making in improving Kraken’s Brand. You will transform large datasets from complex systems, generate actionable insights and share the results with stakeholders at all levels of the company. Responsibilities

  • Ability to understand and analyze datasets required for machine learning and AI algorithms

About The Role

This role is remote.  Candidates will have either have to be based in Australia or be in that time zone and have strong relationships with mainstream and trade media in the region.

Seeking an accomplished, experienced individual to serve as Manager of Communications on a dynamic communications team. At its core, the Manager of Comms is responsible for: generating amazing coverage in Australia, protecting the company’s brand reputation and building relationships with key stakeholders, reporters and industry peers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement media relations plans for technical products and Kraken’s brand stories.

Kraken’s Global Finance Reconciliation group is looking for a data-driven professional who has great attention to detail, is independent, organized and meticulous with operational activities. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth reconciliation operations of custodial funds across our various products. You will also have the opportunity to identify and implement improvements to our current processes, data and technology. What you'll do:

  • Execute daily reconciliation procedures for funds movement in and out of the platform
  • Log information into the appropriate database and triage discrepancies timely

About the role:
The Finance team at Kraken is a group of specialists charged with managing the firm’s liquidity, capital and risk, and providing the overall financial controls and reporting functions for executive decision making, compliance, and audit readiness. Our work contributes directly to Kraken’s success. The newly created Strategic Finance Manager, Debt Financing role within the Strategic Finance team will own our global loans program – both the day to day execution and strategic optimization of the program for efficiency and returns.  The Manager will be responsible for the management of the loan program to provide working capital for the rapidly growing initiatives within the company.  You will develop partnerships and drive the process to source, negotiate, implement, execute, track, and report loans / interest.  This will require balancing our risk profile (interest rates) with our current and future loan program’s needs. The role will work closely with our Director of Finance Transformation, with other Directors on the Strategic Finance team, and with our CFO to determine loan needs and report on the loan program. The role will also work closely with our Business Development, Legal, Tax, Account Management, Banking Relations, Treasury, and Controllership teams for various aspects of loan origination and management. Given the exponential and ongoing growth of our working capital needs, this role will lead continuous improvement and scaling efforts for our loan program. 

What you'll do:

  • Strive to fully support our loan portfolio needs across all fiat and crypto assets 
  • Look for continual opportunities to optimize interest rates and collateral requirements 
  • Seek new sources of loans across Institutional and Retail lenders via collaborations with our Business Development, Banking Relations, and Account Management teams 
  • Oversee the  communication and collaboration across all internal teams to communicate capital needs and optimal rates / collateral needs 
  • Research and stay current on market lending rates
  • Build a model to determine optimal loan structure while balancing capital needs, diversification, and interest rates
  • Manage process to setup Master Loans Agreements with Institutional lenders with our Legal and Tax teams 
  • Manage process to get all loan initiations / extensions signed  
  • Day to day management to track and execute loan interest payments as well as loan extensions or terminations  
  • Maintain all lender documents related to all loans 
  • Maintain up to date summaries of loan program metrics (loan amounts, interest payments, effective rates. Etc.) across all asset classes 
  • Provide periodic senior management updates regarding the loan program 
  • Maintain relationships with Institutional and Retail lenders and address any questions about the loan program with them 
  • Coordinate with Treasury, Tax, Controllership on any tax withholding and reporting requirements (e.g. 1099)
  • Participate in joint internal meetings with Treasury / Finance Transformation / Strategic Finance teams to determine loan targets 

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 3-5 years total experience
  • Prior experience in a commercial lending environment especially dealing with crypto asset lending highly preferred 
  • Knowledge of trading platforms, financial markets, loan programs, and strong passion in cryptocurrency
