We believe that diversity is the building block of a great culture and company

At DrChrono, we aim to get perspectives from all paths to help us build the best products possible. Learn more about our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion here.

Our mission is to build a technology platform that enables medical practices of all sizes to make care more informed, more personalized, more interactive, and more adaptable. Our platform has been used by thousands of physicians who in turn have provided care to millions of patients.

About DrChrono, our Product, and Engineering
✅ #1 mobile EHR as voted by Black Book 9 years running (2013-2021).
✅ First mobile and cloud-based ambulatory EHR / EMR to be an Apple Mobility Partner.
✅ 27+ million patients under the care of DrChrono providers.

Serving tens of thousands of healthcare providers and over 27 million patients, DrChrono was the first EHR to build a native app for the iPad and iPhone. We’re the only official Apple Mobility Partner for healthcare, the youngest company to be included in the US Government Precision Medicine Initiative, the #1 EHR as voted by doctors, and the #1 mobile EHR as voted by Black Book.

Our products can be completely tailored to any medical practice—small, large, or specialty—and are open to third-party innovation via a robust API.

Our people and the enthusiasm for healthcare is contagious. We’re one of the most tech-forward healthcare players in the EHR industry and our philosophy “more time with patients, less time doing paperwork” drives constant innovation throughout the company.

Most recently, as DrChrono sought to support physicians and patients through the Covid-19 pandemic, the Engineering Organization successfully launched a Telehealth product in just weeks.

DrChrono Engineering plays a critical role delivering innovative products from inception to mass adoption.  You’ll be able to use your expertise and creative talents to build things while working closely with product, design, and other departments.

Our Engineering Organization is currently hiring 7 Software Engineers to join our organization across the following teams:

Provider Team: Electronic Health Records are at the center of what every provider does on a daily basis and includes items like clinical notes, prescriptions, and labs. Help write the code that medical providers use at the point of care.  Innovative patient care anytime and anywhere on your iPad, iPhone and Apple Watch. Experience a mobile EHR that is sleeker, faster and more convenient than a laptop.

Patient Team: You will work on the newest feature of our product that allows patients and providers to communicate remotely.  You will also develop the code that allows patients to view their own information from the practices that they patronize.  Here you will work on all of the technologies that connect those who need care to those that can provide it.

Payments Team: You will write the code that allows providers to be paid! All of our practices rely on the ability to use the software in order to get paid and thus this is a primary component of our product.

Practice Team: Providers cannot effectively help their patients if their practices are not managed correctly. We fix this. In this area you will develop features that help the medical practice schedule appointments and communicate with the patients as well as manage their internal workflows

Platform Team: Underlying all of the components of the product is the platform itself.  Here you’ll be working with cloud providers, system configuration, security, architecture and middleware components that keep our product up and running.

Job Description
Hyperscience is hiring a Product Designer who will join one or more squads building new capabilities into the Hyperscience platform. This Designer will apply user centered design methods, lean product principles, work closely with a team of Engineers and PMs, and learn a lot of new skills along the way!

Designers in this role will be immersed in a host of emerging technologies that come with complex design challenges. They will collaborate with machine learning engineers, design human-in-the-loop interactions, and work with users and stakeholders at large enterprises that make up the Hyperscience customer base. Candidates will learn these concepts on the job and need not be experts in machine learning or automation to apply.

Hyperscience Designers work end-to-end in the product lifecycle. Depending on the needs of your product squads, Designers perform research to discover user pains and needs, prototype and test solutions, and design visual artifacts to communicate those solutions to Engineers. Candidates should have some proficiency in design research as well as UX and UI design in complex web applications, and there is ample opportunity to grow on the job!

Responsibilities

  • Surface lean solutions in a complex technical landscape.
  • Lead many varieties of research in order to understand user and stakeholders needs.
  • Leverage evidence to inform and shape the user experience, to connect teammates with user needs, and to design solutions that  will address user and business needs.
  • Design workflows and other solutions that solve user problems and enable them to accomplish tasks in Hyperscience effectively.
  • Build prototypes, run tests, and iterate with users in order to reduce risk and ship products that solve real problems.
  • Maintain a vocabulary of effective user interface patterns and practices for enterprise software.
  • Determine how a large area of the product will interact with people, facilitate conversations to gather feedback, and proactively share research findings.
  • Engage the full team in the design process so that design work is aligned to business needs and is technically feasible.
  • Demonstrate curiosity and understanding of the broader context that surrounds Hyperscience users: the organizations they work for, the problems they are trying to solve, and the automation industry at large.
  • Maintain sufficient expertise in the technical underpinnings of Hyperscience to collaborate with a team of PMs and Engineers.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in Product Design for enterprise-grade web applications or services
  • A strong interest in user-centered design principles and qualitative research methods
  • A portfolio demonstrating Product Design experience
  • Expertise in interaction design and defining user flows
  • Comfort with ambiguity - our company is growing! As we scale we’re looking for a Designer that is comfortable diving into that ambiguity to help drive the product forward
  • Proficiency in visual design and prototyping tools, e.g. Figma
  • Comfort collaborating with Engineers and PMs to understand tradeoffs between effort and value
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Location

  • Ideally this position is in NYC, Toronto, London, or Sofia, but working remotely anywhere in the US on East Coast hours is also an option.

Benefits

Sr. Incident Response Engineer
Redox
saas linux aws healthcare Mar 02
Our mission at Redox is to make healthcare data useful, by building infrastructure to enable the frictionless adoption of technology. We further intend to make Redox the most trusted brand in healthcare technology. Detecting and effectively responding to security threats is a paramount capability to support this goal.

Redox is building a world-class security program, and is searching for a highly motivated Incident Response engineer to join our growing team. This role will focus on leveling up Redox’s security detection and response capabilities - initially by prioritizing enhancements to “observability”, collaborating across teams to realize these improvements, and enabling the security team to effectively investigate issues.

The Senior IR Engineer is also empowered to spearhead improvements throughout Redox’s incident management lifecycle - for example, correlating data sources, enhancing alerts, and potentially automating portions of response. Our shared aim will be for this role to grow into owning Redox’s security incident management function, holistically - through cross-team collaboration, hands-on building, technical leadership, and a drive for continuous improvement.

We believe effective security programs are guided by risk management. This role is expected to leverage existing vulnerability and risk data, understand Redox’s business operations and technical environments, and take into account costs and trade-offs in driving improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Enable the team to detect and respond to threats against endpoints, third party SaaS, infrastructure, and Redox services
  • Ensure security monitoring tools are appropriately configured to enable detection opportunities (Anti-virus / EDR, Linux endpoint, etc.)
  • Administer and improve log aggregation / SIEM platforms
  • Collaborate with engineering & infrastructure teams to improve “observability” around our applications and services
  • Develop high fidelity alerts, and tune existing alerts to improve “signal-to-noise”
  • Contribute to continuous monitoring efforts
  • Disseminate knowledge through runbooks and training
  • Support IR investigations as a subject matter expert and (rotating) incident coordinator
  • Facilitate incident management exercises within the company
  • Facilitate business continuity and disaster recovery exercises within the company
  • Collaborate on emulation exercises (“purple team”) to vet our detection and response capabilities
  • Develop and maintain meaningful metrics around detection and response capabilities

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Awareness of current threats and how to detect them
  • Linux and Mac OS detection & response experience
  • Cloud (AWS) detection & response experience
  • SaaS product / application security knowledge
  • Log aggregation and analysis experience (SIEM platforms such as Splunk)
  • Collaboration with multiple stakeholders such as engineering, legal, and operations teams throughout the incident lifecycle

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Scripting capabilities
  • Experience in regulated, highly-sensitive data environments (such as HIPAA/PHI)
  • Knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery planning (BCP / DRP)
  • Containers and orchestration experience
  • Forensic techniques and tools experience

Redox is a growth stage company - so adaptability, willingness to learn, and wear multiple hats is a plus! We’re also looking for people who are:

  • Passionate about solving complex problems that improve the state of the world
  • Intellectually curious with a desire to learn
  • Respectful and inclusive - soliciting and incorporating input from others
  • Biased towards action and creating positive impact

At Respondent, our mission is to Make Research Inclusive. We believe inclusive research leads to inclusive product design. Our goal is to make it quick and easy to schedule business professionals for research interviews. We want to be the destination B2B research platform that all B2B companies rely on to get a competitive edge.

B2B companies such as IBM, Stripe, Atlassian, Microsoft, and many more choose to leverage Respondent to conduct their research interviews. We are a small (but quickly growing), fully remote tech startup. Working as a distributed team allows us to hire the best talent regardless of location.

We look forward to learning more about you and how you might fit into our thriving community of initiative-takers and diverse thinkers.

Who you are

  • Strong analytical intuition The ability to ask 2nd- and 3rd-order questions through data manipulation and derive interesting insights out of seemingly unwieldy, large sets of numbers. With strong analytical intuition, you will become a strategic thought partner collaborating with the leadership team and functional leaders.

  • A critical thinker Able to think critically about not only the implications of the data you collect but about what data you should be collecting in the first place. Highlight and use only the data that can be helpful in deciding what are next steps.
  • A data visualizer Disorganized data doesn’t help anyone. Ability to be able to translate and visualize data in a concise and accurate way that’s easy to digest.
  • Detail-oriented and a big picture thinker Ability to understand how your recommendations will affect the bottom line of our business. Specifically empathize on how our researchers and research participants are interacting with our marketplace. Install appropriate event tracking so we can see and understand every move our users are making in our product.
  • Marketing analytics: Track the LTV of researchers and research participants. Segment both sides of the marketplace so we can see which cohorts perform better than others. Through data help us understand why users are engaged or dropping off through different areas of the funnel.
  • Experimentation environments: Set up a high-quality experimentation environment such as A/B testing so we know quickly if our experiments are moving the needle or not. Make this data visible to team members so they can make decisions with confidence.

Who you'll work with
