Multiple Remote Senior Software Engineering Roles
RXNT

At RXNT, we think of ourselves as a backbone to the US healthcare system. Every day, we provide the digital foundation on which healthcare professionals serve patients, order medications and lab tests, bill insurance companies, and interact with the wider healthcare community.

22 years of blood, sweat, and tears have taught us that this pursuit comes with great responsibility. It’s in the best interest of everyone if we hold ourselves to high standards, think rigorously, and at times, act urgently.

As a member of RXNT’s EHR team, you’ll work on the software that powers physician’s offices across the nation. Systems for scheduling of appointments, point-of-care, ordering labs and prescriptions, and more - all under the umbrella of one product. At some times, you’ll work inside of regulatory frameworks like CURES and FHIR, and at other times you’ll look outside of the box for innovative ways to improve user experience and patient outcomes.

We’re looking for self-motivated people who love to learn, are comfortable in a fast-paced and quickly-growing environment, and who seek ownership.

What you'll be doing

  • As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and implement substantial parts of RXNT’s EHR solution.
  • You will refactor C# .NET code, leverage various data layers (SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis, message queues), write and optimize complex SQL, and to a lesser extent, work with Javascript in the browser.
  • You will join an all-hands effort in 2021 to migrate RXNT’s billing software from on-prem to a containerized, robust Azure deployment (alongside qualified external consultants).
  • You will regularly review the code of your peers
  • You will push for and maintain best practices like the Joel test, 12 factor app methodology, and quality unit tests
  • Your engineering manager will help you understand key technical metrics to aim for (like SLA, P99 latency), and the product manager will help you understand how US healthcare professionals work and how we can best serve them.

You might be a good fit if you

  • Have a proven track record (3+ years of experience) of architecting and engineering world-class, large scale commercial applications and services
  • Are proficient in one or more object-oriented languages (such as C#/Java/C++)
  • Are strong in computer science fundamentals (typically backed by a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, or a bachelor’s degree or higher in a math or science field plus strong professional experience)
  • Are comfortable using a broad range of modern data systems (SQL, noSQL), bonus for specialized systems like columnar warehouses, message queues, caches
  • Have some full-stack development experience (comfortable with Javascript, exposure to React or Angular)

Bonus

  • You have experience with developing applications to run in Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Work on Open Source projects

Multiple Remote Senior Software Engineering Roles
RXNT
cs java javascript dot net sql senior May 18

  • Speak publicly or write technical content
  • Read voraciously

Summer 2021

About this role:
At Devoted Health, we know changing healthcare doesn’t just mean giving seniors access to better and more affordable care. It also means changing how we talk about healthcare.

Up for the challenge? The creative team at Devoted Health is looking for a contract senior writer to help us craft clear, conversational materials for our members and prospects. You’ll write member letters and onboarding materials. Help edit and review government forms, emails, and blogs. And create advertising copy for print, direct mail, OOH, and a lot more. The initial contract will last 9 months.

The ideal candidate has 5-8 years of experience working in a fast-paced environment. You’re customer-focused. You love obsessing over the little details—like word choice and punctuation.  And you’re not afraid to change up your copy to work with the design or scrap it all if it just isn’t working.

In addition to killer writing and editing chops, the contract senior writer needs to be able to work fast, pivot quickly when priorities change, and stay super organized. Medicare is complicated and things move fast here. You’ll need to be able to dig in, ask questions, and hit the ground running.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Crafting crisp and clear materials
  • Creating content that makes complex benefits (like dental allowances) easier to understand
  • Editing and de-jargoning emails, letters, newsletters, and more
  • Working alongside designers to make sure your copy sings in layout
  • Collaborating with in-house subject matter experts to guarantee our materials are accurate

Desired skills and experience:

  • Proven experience writing about complex topics (like healthcare or financial services) in a friendly, conversational tone
  • 5-8 years of in-house content or advertising experience
  • Experience working in a very fast-paced or startup environment
  • Strong grasp of English language and grammar
  • Familiarity writing to a style guide
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Portfolio required
  • Cover letter required
  • Plain language experience and healthcare background a plus, but not required

If you love running towards complex challenges and transforming them into solutions, if you want to make a potentially huge impact on many lives, and if you are looking for a disruptive startup with an inspiring and talented team, Devoted Health may be the place for you!

A bit about us:

We’re on a mission to change healthcare — how it’s paid for, delivered, experienced. We want to put people center stage, not process or profit. We are guided by a deep belief that every person on Medicare should be treated like we would treat a member of our own family: with loving care and a profound commitment to their health and well-being.

That’s why we’re gathering a whole bunch of smart, big-hearted people to create a new kind of healthcare company — one that combines compassion, health insurance, clinical care, and technology seamlessly.

"We want to partner with people we love for a cause we believe in. Life is short. Join us."

As an early member of a high-velocity and high performing team, you will have disproportionate influence and ownership in the establishment of culture, capabilities, and process of the team as it grows. The role will, in part, be shaped by your skill set and growth goals.

Responsibilities will inlude:

  • Drive membership growth by developing, testing and implementing strategies and tactics on marketing channels
  • Grow to own channels (examples include local marketing, print, radio and TV) end-to-end, managing and optimizing a multi-million dollar budget to hit aggressive business goals
  • Generate ideas for analysis and experiments
  • Collaborate with sales, data science and product teams and implement creative solutions to improve marketing operations
  • Work with designers and copywriters to develop marketing materials that are effective and regulations-compliant
  • Analyze vast amounts of proprietary data (from marketing and sales) to inform immediate and long-term decisions
  • Use tools such as SQL, Excel, and G Suite to work efficiently at scale
  • Develop dashboards and reports to regularly communicate results with leadership and stakeholders

Attributes to success:

  • You are a “roll-up-your-sleeves” entrepreneurial spirit who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment
  • You are a proactive, self-motivated learner who problem-solves creatively and suggests improvements and new ideas
  • You are someone who is very comfortable navigating ambiguity and is extremely adept at diving into detail-oriented workstreams
  • You are a data junkie who loves looking at the numbers and using them to inform big picture decisions
  • You are a team-oriented person with a positive attitude

Desired skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree; preferably in a quantitative discipline
  • 1-2 years experience working in an analytical role with strong use of Excel
  • Track record of success driving action in ambiguous and fast moving environment, identifying opportunities and achieving results with limited resources
  • Knowledgeable or curious about marketing measurement and optimization strategies and tools such as A/B testing, attribution models, tracking pixels
  • Experience working with or navigating sales funnels; an interest in sales operations / management
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; works well as part of a team
  • Beginner or Intermediate SQL experience in a business environment
If you love running towards complex challenges and transforming them into solutions, if you want to make a potentially huge impact on many lives, and if you are looking for a disruptive startup with an inspiring and talented team, Devoted Health may be the place for you!
