About this role:
We’re looking for a bilingual copywriter to develop content for our brand, marketing, and member materials in both English and Spanish. As a copywriter on the marketing team, you’ll bring a clear, friendly voice to complex healthcare information and create jargon-free materials our prospects and members can actually understand.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in crafting consumer-friendly marketing materials and/or plain language content. They’re equally skilled at writing short texts as they are writing emails, direct mail pieces, and member letters. They’re a self-starter that can run with assignments and seamlessly partner with stakeholders such as marketers, designers, healthcare partners, and compliance/legal teams.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Crafting crisp, concise, memorable consumer-facing copy that both drives prospects to pick up the phone and call us 
  • Developing strong and engaging content to improve the overall member experience
  • Editing and streamlining the content for flyers, brochures, direct mail, digital media, member-facing materials, emails, newsletters, and more 
  • Brainstorming and partnering closely with graphic designers to bring content to life
  • Helping review vendor translations and updating our translation style guide to accurately reflect our brand voice
  • Collaborating with in-house subject matter experts
  • Prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously, working optimally under pressure and meeting all deadlines
  • Working closely with the compliance team to ensure we’re adhering to rules and regulations

Desired skills and experience:

  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • 4+ years of marketing and copy-writing experience in both languages across different marketing channels
  • Healthcare, medical, insurance, or a highly regulated industry experience required
  • Creative problem-solver, capable of considering the big picture while tackling the nitty gritty
  • Self-starter comfortable working independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Impeccable English and Spanish grammar, punctuation and spelling
  • A clear understanding of tone, voice, and the ability to adapt your writing style based on the message and intended audience
  • Familiar with using a style guide (AP Stylebook, in-house, etc.)
  • Plain language experience a plus
  • Copy-editing and editing skills also a plus
