About the Team:

User Operations is a multifunctional organization at Quizlet that helps students and teachers use our products successfully while also working to encourage a user-centered culture at Quizlet. We support a global user base of students and teachers who rely on Quizlet to power their learning. As part of User Operations, the Product Operations team (currently known as the Product Support Specialist team) serves as a bridge between our users and our product development teams. There is consistent collaboration with other teams in User Operations—including Support Operations, Self Service and Policy Enforcement—along with other teams across all of Quizlet.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Product Operations leader to run and scale the fast-growing Product Operations function at Quizlet. You will have the opportunity to build on the success of our current team and lay out a vision for scaling the function as Quizlet’s product and user base rapidly expands. You will serve as a people manager, functional lead and product area owner while ensuring that everyone your team engages with and supports is able to achieve their goals. The role will report to the Senior Director of User Operations. Initial people management scope will include three direct reports. 

In this role, you will:

  • Build and manage a high-performing team of product specialists, analysts and program managers
  • Develop and execute on a roadmap to scale the Product Operations function
  • Lead your team through planning cycles by establishing objectives, key results and priorities that align with both User Operations and company objectives
  • Help improve the quality and impact of the Quizlet product by supporting and enhancing user feedback loops
  • Build out the team, systems and infrastructure for scalable subject matter expertise within Product Operations
  • Construct and support the processes for effective change management around A/B testing, new features and product launches
  • Be a key voice of influence and direction around achieving and sustaining a measured, high-quality user experience
  • Create an environment that fosters creativity, innovation and problem solving
  • Ensure there is a data-driven approach across all aspects of Product Operations 
  • Collaborate with managers and functional leaders across the organization to achieve company goals
  • Serve as a key leader in the User Operations organization by contributing overall strategy and direction
  • Act as the product specialist for specific product areas

What you bring to the table:

  • Prior experience leading a product operations, user support, or product team at scale
  • 5+ years of people management experience
  • Passion for ownership, responsibility and leadership
  • Demonstrated success with establishing and achieving measurable goals 
  • Enthusiasm for owning part of the product and producing hands-on work
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience working as part of a global team
  • Experience working as part of an Engineering or Analytics team
  • SQL or other technical or analytical skills
