Sales Representative

Full Time

Quartzy is seeking a high energy field Sales Representative to call on existing Quartzy accounts in academic and biotech research.  In this role, you will build relationships with existing users to assist them in consolidating their labs spend through the platform.  This role requires a thorough knowledge of the academicor biotech life science supply market, and the ability to analyze data to locate, develop, negotiate, and close new business opportunities.  

Quartzy is a 100% distributed team so this role can be done anywhere in the US. 
Academic roles should be based in Greater Boston, NY, or San Francisco areas.

What You'll Do

  • Be a Quartzy representative in the largest and most prestigious universities and academic institutions.
  • Build rapport with high volume academic labs using Quartzy as their labs management tool 
  • Analyze opportunities and implement solutions to assist labs with spend consolidation 
  • Work with the world's largest lab product manufacturers like MilliporeSigma, Corning, Rainin, Bio-Rad to drive product awareness and incremental revenue growth 

What We're Looking For

  • 2-3 years field sales experience(preferably in the academic or biotech space) with proven track record of overachievement 
  • (OK if less than 2 years if progression from SDR to field)
  • Knowledge and application of the principles of laboratory supply chain
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills 
  • Fantastic written and verbal communication ability
  • Bachelor's degree
