Software Engineering Internship

Quartzy is seeking Software Engineering Intern.  In this role, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work together within the team, and contribute to innovate Quartzy products. They will report to the Director of Engineering who directly leads the team but will get the chance to partner with individuals across the department.

Quartzy is a 100% distributed team so this role can be done anywhere in the US. 

About You
Quartzy is seeking highly motivated problem solvers currently pursuing their Computer Science degree with expected graduation in December 2022 or Spring 2023. These individuals will possess strong written and verbal communication skills and a desire to collaborate with and learn from experienced software engineers. They will also demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing web development as a career and a proven track record of staying current with new and evolving technologies via formal and self-directed education.

What You'll Do

  • Implement new features and fix bugs within a SaaS product, e-commerce shop, and internal tools
  • Collaborate within the team, and support senior level engineers, product managers, and designers
  • Research and implement functional requirements using up-to-date technology and skills
  • Learn industry best practices from experienced software engineers
  • Experience working in a product-led, high-growth organization

What We're Looking For

  • Enrolled in Computer Science or related majors
  • Familiarity with algorithms, data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and other technical tools.
  • Exposure to programming languages such as PHP, C#, Java, Python, etc.
  • Passionate about discovering drawbacks of existing systems and working with users to improve the experiences
