The Talent Acquisition Specialist will work closely with our hiring managers and leadership team on full lifecycle recruiting. This will include sourcing candidates through various channels, planning interview and selection procedures and hosting or participating in career events. To be successful in this role, you should be able to nurture trusting relationships with potential hires and enjoy giving timely feedback to candidates. You should have exposure to technical roles and familiarity with tech stacks.and have the ability to work with highly technical managers and candidates.This position reports into the Manager of Talent Acquisition.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate with hiring managers to identify hiring needs and the selection criteria
- Source potential candidates through online channels (e.g. social platforms and professional networks)
- Plan interview and selection procedures, including screening calls, work samples and in-person or remote (Zoom) interviews
- Assess candidate information, including resumes and contact details, using our Applicant Tracking System (Lever)
- Design job descriptions and interview questions that reflect each position’s requirements
- Proactively build pipelines of diverse talent
- Identify process improvement opportunities and champion streamlined practices, workflows, and metrics
- Foster long-term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding hiring and initial employment
Requirements
- Proven experience sourcing and placing candidates in highly technical roles
- Familiarity with engineering tech stacks
- Excellent communication skills - you know how to sell our mission, customer value, and employee value proposition
- Excellent writing skills and being responsive to candidates is a passion
- Keen sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize, analyze and resolve issues
- Proven experience sourcing and placing candidates in highly technical roles
- Familiarity with social media, resume databases and professional networks
- Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting using various interview techniques and evaluation methods
- Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A keen understanding of the differences between various roles within organizations
