HR Analytics & Compensation Analyst

The HR Analytics & Compensation Analyst translates organizational data into actionable recommendations and programs to continually improve how Spreedly recruits, motivates, engages, and retains our employees. The HR Analytics & Compensation Analyst designs, develops, and implements analytics reports, scorecards, and benchmarks to inform key business and employment decisions. They provide data insights to the VP of Human Resources to administrator the compensation function, including job benchmarking and classification, market analysis, and compensation systems administration (Radford & ERI).

What you'll do

  • In partnership with the VP of Human Resources, design and implement Spreedly’s HR Analytics program including strategy, goals, and results.
  • Deliver accurate HR reports, analysis, and insights, including areas of pay equity, DEIB initiatives, turnover analysis and forecasting.
  • Proactively identify and analyze trends and potential areas of inequity or business-impacting market conditions.
  • Participate and support the compensation business processes including: analyzing markets, benchmarking jobs, and working with business leaders to create new job families and career paths.
  • Drive process and systems improvements in HRIS, compensation systems including market analysis and improvements to Spreedly’s  compensation program.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams to understand reporting and analytics needs.
  • Consult on and advise regarding best practices for survey creation, including exit interviews, employee engagement surveys, and new hire surveys.
  • Design attractive and impactful visualizations and infographics that efficiently enable decision making.
  • Serve as a point of contact to recruiting, leaders, and managers on reporting and compensation topics.
  • Provide consultative and analytical support in delivering the salary administration program.
  • Perform reporting audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.


  • Experience with large datasets and reporting functionality from a system like an HRIS.
  • HRIS experience (UKG is a bonus) and experience with a modern benchmarking tool such as Radford.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals  in a confidential manner.
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, vlookup, and data visualization including charts and graphs.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with best practices in statistics, data interpretation, and data visualization.
  • Ability to work closely with others as part of a team while taking full responsibility for a task.
  • Ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles.
  • Ability to compile and present large datasets into actionable, meaningful analysis.
  • Experience in data analysis/comp on an HR team, especially with a high-growth company.
  • Familiarity with global pay practices and compliance; familiarity with executive compensation best practices; administrating a stock-based equity program.
  • Hands-on knowledge of compensation best practices including job description creation, job classification and analysis, benchmarking, market analysis, and compensation program design including variable compensation programs.
