We believe that AI has the power to transform every aspect of our lives -- from healthcare to agriculture. The exponential impact of artificial intelligence will mean mammograms can happen quickly and cheaply irrespective of the limited number of radiologists there are in the world and growers will know the instant that disease hits their farm without even being there.

At Labelbox, we’re building a platform to accelerate the development of this future. Rather than requiring companies to create their own expensive and incomplete homegrown tools, we’ve created a training data platform that acts as a central hub for humans to interface with AI. We’re looking for a  full time creative engineer with product minded focus and scalability to join our rapidly growing tech team in Malmö. This is a fully hands-on position and will cover all aspects of back-end related development and bring value on the technical product roadmap level. We are looking for a candidate that must have at least 5-7 years of experience and understands the dynamics of a start-up in a fast growth trajectory.

Our tech + how we work

  • Our core backend is built with Python, but is being quickly adapted as requirements dictate. Critical components of our architecture are split into dedicated microservices, where we'll be looking at higher performance languages for mission-critical functionality.

  • You're passionate about building beautifully crafted APIs and creating awesome secure scalable experiences. Handiscover’s services are geared towards users, communities and partners creating values in their everyday life. Build a product you would use yourself, and bring your unique insight and perspective to the table as an engineer in shaping our overarching product offering.
  • You like solving big problems. Our greatest challenges are yet to come, and we'll need super hard working and creative minds to solve foundational infrastructure challenges for the world's largest online travel communities facilitators.
  • You value autonomy, moving fast and getting lots done. We have no time or interest for bureaucracy and micromanagement - we're moving super fast and you'll be required to take responsibility for delivering products end-to-end.

About Labelbox

Labelbox’s mission is to build the best products for humans to advance artificial intelligence.

We are building software infrastructure for industrial data science teams to do data labeling for the training of neural networks. When we build software, we take for granted the existence of collaborative tools to write and debug code. The machine learning workflow has no standard tooling for labeling data, storing it, debugging models and then continually improving model accuracy. Enter Labelbox. Our vision is to become the default software for data scientists to manage data and train neural networks in the same way that GitHub or text editors are defaults for software engineers.

Current Labelbox customers include American Family Insurance, Lytx, Airbus, Genius Sports, Keeptruckin and more. Labelbox is venture backed by A16Z, Gradient Ventures, Kleiner Perkins and First Round Capital and has been featured in Tech Crunch, Venture Beat, Fortune, and Forbes.

About the Team

The BI team at Labelbox is working on becoming a large part of the decision making for the company. We believe that our data will set us apart and help us succeed as a data driven company. Members of the BI team are working on understanding and making sense of data while partnering with product and business teams on helping drive direction with data. We like to partner with each other and with stakeholders across the company to get our work done, and we like to constantly think about how we can improve. We also like to come up with new ideas based on data.

About the Role

As a member of this team, you will be responsible for creating clean, scalable and easy to consume data models and data pipelines. You will build ETLs that will allow the rest of the company answer questions they need in a self-service manner, and allow analysts and data scientists to quickly analyze and prototype new ideas. You will partner with the rest of the team on prototyping those new ideas and build scalable product.

The Impact You’ll Have

By building scalable self-service solutions you will enable easier and faster decision making. In addition, you will be able to increase productivity and accuracy of our BI team, and operations and product teams as well

The Problems You’ll Solve

  • Build resilient data pipelines based on internal and external data sources
  • Architect clean and scalable data models to support evolving business requirements
  • Design scalable ETLs for consistent metric definitions
  • Build or evaluate tooling for data accuracy detection and alerting
  • Partner with the rest of the team on prototyping and building scalable products driven by the BI team
  • Partner with teams throughout Labelbox on identifying opportunities and building solutions to help in simplifying operations while producing rich and accurate data sets for us to use
  • Constantly identify opportunities for providing self-service tooling to our internal team

About You

  • 5+ years experience working in business intelligence, analytics, data engineering, or a similar role
  • An ability to code complex SQL queries. Python a plus
  • Knowledge of relational databases (BigQuery, Redshift, MySQL) and big data structures
  • Experience using and building solutions to support multiple reporting and data user tools (Chartio, Tableau, Looker)
  • Advanced data visualization and SQL skills
We believe that AI has the power to transform every aspect of our lives -- from healthcare to agriculture. The exponential impact of artificial intelligence will mean mammograms can happen quickly and cheaply irrespective of the limited number of radiologists there are in the world and growers will know the instant that disease hits their farm without even being there.

At Labelbox, we’re building a platform to accelerate the development of this future. Rather than requiring companies to create their own expensive and incomplete homegrown tools, we’ve created a training data platform that acts as a central hub for humans to interface with AI. About Pachyderm

At Pachyderm, we're building an open-source enterprise-grade data science platform that lets you deploy and manage multi-stage, language-agnostic data pipelines while maintaining complete reproducibility and provenance. If you want to learn more about our grand vision, read what has become our "manifesto." Our system, developed with open source roots, shifts the paradigm of data science workflows by providing reproducibility, data provenance, and opportunity for true collaboration. Pachyderm utilizes modern technologies like Docker and Kubernetes to build an entirely new method of analyzing data.  Offered both as an in-house solution as well as hosted-service, Pachyderm brings together version-control for data with the tools to build scalable end-to-end ML/AI pipelines while empowering users to use any language, framework, or tool they want.

As a Sales Engineer at Pachyderm, you will be part of a small, elite, customer-facing engineering team (think Seal Team 6) devoted to solving challenging infrastructure and data platform issues for both our open source users and enterprise customers. This can be anything from debugging network issues to architecting complex machine learning pipelines to troubleshooting Kubernetes and Docker. This role is perfect for engineers who love working directly with customers and prefer to witness success alongside the user first-hand.

In this role will own the responsibility for delivering the technical win at customer accounts. You will lead the technical pre-sales relationship, propose technical architectures, demonstrate the platform, anticipate concerns, and offer creative solutions. You goal is to build customer trust in Pachyderm which will result in customer success in the post-sale.

This is mostly a pre-sales role role focused on maximizing value for our enterprise deployments, but will also include working with Support Engineering, engaging with prominent OSS users, and being part of our broader customer success org. We are looking for someone who understands the value of the product, can answer technical questions, qualify the technical aptitude of potential sales opportunities, and be a trusted advisor.

While you'll have direct access and support from our engineering team, you will also have ample opportunity to commit to the core Pachyderm codebase yourself. As an open source project, detailed GitHub issues are great, but PRs are pure gold!

While your primary focus will of course be driving the technical pre-sales process, you’ll also have direct exposure to users and enterprise customers via our open source support channels.  At Pachyderm, OSS user and customer feedback is major driver of our product roadmap and we believe that everyone within the company should experience that first-hand.

Pachyderm is just a small team right now, so you'd be getting in right at the ground floor and have an enormous impact on the success and direction of the company and product. However, this also means that you will with customer support, help align on goals and KPI’s and contribute to customer success. In addition to Solutions Engineering, our first few hires in these roles will also be doing some Support and Implementation Engineering and Technical Account Management. We are currently looking for all three roles and as such, you are welcome to apply to one or more.

Finally, please do feel free to check out the product on GitHub as it’s open source!

We offer significant equity, full benefits, and all the usual startup perks.

Senior Full-Stack Developer 100% Remote
Metabolic Living   $125K - $150K
lamp mysql php html javascript senior Oct 06 2020

This is a fantastic opportunity for a sharp senior full-stack developer to help us build a state-of-the-art web and mobile e-commerce system and a proprietary AI-driven app that helps people optimize their metabolism… all from the comfort of your own home.  If you’re hungry for a challenge and want to sink your teeth into something meaningful that will immediately improve the lives of others, this is it.

Metabolic Living is a self-funded, profitable, rapidly growing multi-channel DTC health and wellness company with 100+ on our team and on pace to hit $60MM in 2020.  While others are struggling in this COVID environment, we’re fortunate to be thriving as we create exactly what everyone wants.  The overall trend towards health and wellness was already a wind in our sails, but COVID lit a match and set our growth on fire, dramatically accelerating things. So, this is your opportunity to help us make a meaningful impact, precisely at the time when the world needs it the most.

Hello, my name is Luis Mata, CTO of Metabolic Living, and I need your help.  I’m re-architecting our e-commerce and application infrastructure to support our goal of becoming a billion-dollar brand by 2023.  Much of this will be driven by AI and machine learning as part of our proprietary Metabolic Optimization System (or Metabolic OSTM) that underpins our customized meals, workouts and coaching programs, as well as our nutraceuticals and functional foods.  To that end, our team needs a super sharp full-stack developer who can easily transition between e-commerce and mobile application work.

What are the Key Points?

  • Compensation: $125,000 - $150,000 (negotiable for right person)
  • Location: 100% Remote (virtual team of 100+ with no corporate office)
  • Benefits: Health/Dental/Vision/Disability/Life + Robust 401k + 15 Days PTO
  • Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EASTERN (regardless of where you live)
  • Culture: Human-first with High-Performing, Happy & Humble People (no jerks)
  • Personality: Obsessed with Details so We can Simplify the Complex for Others

What’s Our Culture Like?

We’re serious about high-performance, so our culture is built around deep work to allow uninterrupted time for the intense concentration needed to deliver world-class performance.  At the same time, real collaboration and transparency is critical to keep us all in alignment and keep office politics out of the equation.  These aren’t just talking points – we’ve implemented specific policies, for example:

  • A standardized 8:30 to 5:00 p.m. ET schedule to protect your personal and family time
  • No meetings before 1 p.m. ET to empower you with 4 hours truly of deep work to GSD
  • Daily huddles and weekly 1-on-1s to support your ability to focus on what matters most

Should You Apply?

If after reading this it’s screaming “this is for me”, you thrive coding in every layer of the stack, and…

  • You LOVE building web and mobile applications that solve big real-life problems…
  • You LOVE architecting e-commerce systems and dealing with logistical nitty-gritty…
  • You LOVE toggling between building queries, application logic and front-end code…
  • You LOVE empathizing as an end-user and delivering clean, efficient code…
  • You LOVE a high-growth environment and embrace ambiguity…

… then please read on as you’re an ideal fit and we’d love to talk to you ASAP!

Note: We’ve developed a unique, in-depth application process to help us pinpoint the best candidates. We read every application and will be in touch if there’s a good fit. The more you tell, the deeper an understanding we gain and the more meaningful our first conversation will be.

What Does Metabolic Living Do?

The most common question we get is – what the heck do you do?  Because from the outside in, unless you’re a customer, it can be confusing,  There’s a reason:  We built everything organically in reverse, starting with our first nutrition program in 2012, then our first exercise program in 2014 and then launching our full ecosystem of products, including nutraceuticals, functional foods, subscriptions, memberships, 1-on-1 coaching and more.  These are all marketed separately under different DTC websites and brands in a direct response (DR) manner.

And now we’re centralizing everything under our new brand, Metabolic Living, with our flagship website and app launching later this year, transitioning us from purely DR to a multi-channel traditional brand.  The website at metabolicliving.com is a temporary one for COVID to raise $45k for frontline health workers. This website will be replaced with the fully branded e-commerce-driven one soon.

Normally, companies launch with a brand and then figure out how to make money.  We did that in reverse – pinpointing pain points, curating world-class products, validating product-market match, generating cash flow to self-fund our growth, creating our north star (see more below), building out our operational team along the way and then retrofitting the brand on top.  Strange path, but here we are.  Read our full story here:  https://www.linkedin.com/company/metabolic-living/about/.

We provide the full ecosystem of products and services that help you quickly optimize your metabolism so you can feel, look and perform your best, every day… yet without the yo-yo struggle of traditional approaches.  Rather than a one-sized-fits-all approach like Paleo, Vegan, Keto, etc. we empower you with a flexible framework called our Metabolic OSTM that’s 100% customized to you.  It allows you to get results fast and to sustain those results as your body, mind and daily life changes as you age. Without this flexible framework, those rigid approaches ultimately backfire, leaving you worse off.

What Type of Person Are We Looking for?

Just as we obsess about creating metabolism-optimizing products that get the most results in the least time, we’re looking for someone equally obsessed about doing the same thing with efficient code.

You’re a strong self-starter who can take initiative and manage projects without having to be told what to do.  You can scope out technical requirements based on business needs, define deliverables, create a project plan and then execute and deliver upon that plan.

You’re are comfortable with and fluent in all facets from the browser to the application layer and to the database.  Experience with marketing funnels, e-commerce systems, mobile apps, split testing, and conversion rate optimization is essential.

You’re extremely results-driven and get tremendous satisfaction seeing your work go live quickly and are motivated by seeing the impact it has.  While you love to code, you also have empathy for the end user, are curious about consumer psychology and love to solve business problems.

You love autonomy, yet excel in an open, truly collaborative culture of high performers.  And you have a fantastic ability to communicate, manage your own projects, delivering on time, on budget & on spec.

Data Analyst

python javascript machine learning saas finance Sep 28 2020
Atlassian is continuing to hire with all interviewing and on-boarding done virtually due to COVID-19. All new and existing Atlassians will continue to work from home until it’s safe to return to our offices. When our offices re-open, every Atlassian will have the choice to work from an office or from home.

Atlassian is looking for a passionate data analyst who will power up our teams to derive even more meaningful insights from our data. Is that you?

Our team is looking for someone that is passionate about data, a self-starter, highly organised, analytical, and has a strong eye for detail. Your data infrastructure vision & strategy will help our team scale and set us up for success in the future. You will be the leader who understands data at Atlassian, knows where to find it, and manages the process to make that data actionable. You love thinking about the ways the business can benefit from this data and then determining how to build data-informed applications. You will have access to an analytics platform (built on Amazon Web Services) to build new data services, improve our processes, and experiment with machine learning algorithms.

As part of the FP&A Data and Analytics team, you'll be responsible for a problem end-to-end, and will be tasked with not only to collect, extract, and clean the data, but also to understand the systems that generated it, and automate your analyses and reporting.

More about you
You love working a job that can change at a moments' notice. You are not phased by the complexity and volume of data nor the dynamic sources and platforms where these datasets may reside, and understand the value this data provides when we make critical business decisions. You thrive in an environment where you are charting your own course and working on problems for which there is no clear solution; where creativity is as crucial as your ability to write code.

ON YOUR FIRST DAY, WE'LL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE:

  • Expert-level SQL knowledge, query tuning, schema design, and ETL processes
  • Strong programming skills (some combination of Python, JavaScript, and Java. Python highly preferred)
  • Expertise in data pipeline with such workflow tools as Airflow, Oozie or Luigi
  • Familiarisation within data visualisation, data wrangling, and data discovery tools
  • An excellent communicator and passionate to collaborate with global, multi-functional teams
  • A willingness to accept failure, learn and try again

IT'S PREFERRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED, THAT YOU HAVE:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Business, Statistics, Finance or a related analytical field
  • Experienced in Tableau or other visualisation tools
  • Technology or Software / SaaS industry experience
More about our team

We encourage decision-making at every level and highly value an open-minded approach and organizational openness. We work closely with business leaders across multiple functions including product, GTM, and finance to support the Company’s continued growth. You'll join a team that is not only smart, motivated, passionate about Atlassian's products and customers but also fun to work with.

More about our benefits

Whether you work in an office or a distributed team, Atlassian is highly collaborative and yes, fun! To support you at work (and play) we offer some fantastic perks: ample time off to relax and recharge, flexible working options, five paid volunteer days a year for your favourite cause, an annual allowance to support your learning & growth, unique ShipIt days, a company paid trip after five years and lots more.
