Auth0
node-js web-services mongodb typescript postgresql senior Aug 04

Auth0 is a unicorn that just closed a $120M Series F round of funding, with total capital raised to date of $330M and valuation of nearly $2B. We are growing rapidly and looking for exceptional new team members to add to our exceptional talent pool - and who will help take us to the next level of success. One team, one score.

Our vision is to provide people with secure access to any application in one click or less. And our promise is to make identity work for everyone—whether you’re a developer looking to innovate, or a security professional looking to mitigate. We are looking for curious, excited, boundary-pushing team members. So, if you’re a big thinker who is nimble and adaptable, Auth0 may be an ideal place for you to shine.

We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Sessions team! This team is responsible for building out the services and infrastructure which are needed to scale sessions and refresh tokens to the billions, where reliability and latency are key. The majority of authentication and authorization transactions running through Auth0 will depend on your code, giving you the opportunity to work as part of a core product team.

You will often work with other teams both within the Engineering organization and outside of it, in order to get a better understanding of customer needs and the impact of changes you perform.

You will:

    • Collaborate with other engineers and teams to implement new features, improvements and fixes that need to handle our current and future scale.
    • Instrument, monitor and operate the code you write and services you build. This includes on-call rotations.
    • Help with design and code review, and ensure good engineering practices are being applied.

You might be a good fit for this role if you:

    • Have experience building highly-reliable, mission-critical software at scale.
    • Take an iterative approach to development, dividing long-term goals into incremental milestones.
    • Have experience working in a global remote-first organization.
    • Are a good communicator and enjoy interacting with people.
    • Place a high value on security.
    • Bring the right attitude to the team: ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
    • Have familiarity with the tools we currently use, such as Node.js, TypeScript, MongoDB, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL.

Preferred Locations:

    • #AR; #US-E; #CA;
    • We are prioritizing candidates in Eastern (GMT-4) time zones

It’s not expected that a single candidate has expertise in all these areas. We’re looking for professional engineers, who can quickly learn and adapt as our systems and situation changes, rather than candidates with a rigid skill set.

You can learn more about our hiring process here.

Auth0 safeguards more than 4.5 billion login transactions each month and its top priorities are availability and security.

We like to think that we are helping make the internet safer. Our team is spread across more than 35 countries and we are proud to continually be recognized as a great place to work. Culture is critical to us, and we are transparent about our vision and principles

Auth0 is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer. Auth0 conducts all employment-related activities without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, age, sex, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, citizenship status, genetics, or status as a Vietnam-era special disabled and other covered veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. ABOUT THE TEAM

We're a team of highly motivated people that came together to challenge how collaboration and team management software works. Our team is a remote-first, international and experienced group of individuals. We value self-organization and taking over responsibilities and new challenges. Our goal is to constantly evolve and redefine our development process, challenge technical decisions, and push the boundaries to make sure we build the best product possible.

Senior Analytics Engineer
Tesorio
senior python data science machine learning finance Jul 25
The Challenge

We’re now looking for a Sr. Analytics Engineer (sometimes called a Data Analyst or BI Engineer) to build customer facing dashboards and support internal stakeholders such as Data Science, Product, Sales, and Marketing.  We are specifically looking for someone well into their career with solid engineering skills and a desire to transform customers financial data into actionable insights.

Overview

Our mission is to build financial management technologies that enable the world’s most important companies to grow more quickly in a sustainable way that’s good for people, the planet, and business.
When companies have strong cash flow performance they can shift from short-term acrobatics to long-term growth and innovation. These are the teams that change the world by being freed to optimize for all of their stakeholders, including their employees, business partners, and environment.

The Opportunity

Cash flow is the toughest financial statement to understand but it’s fundamental to funding your own growth. We build the most intuitive and actionable tools for companies to optimize cash flow performance. Our platform analyzes billions of dollars of B2B transactions each year, users spend 70% of their workday in Tesorio, and we save finance teams thousands of hours. As a result, they can invest more confidently and anticipate their capital needs further in advance.

We’re growing quickly and working with the world’s best companies and the largest bank in the US. We recently raised a $10MM Series A led by Madrona Venture Group and are backed by top investors including First Round Capital, Y Combinator, and Floodgate. We’re also backed by tenured finance execs, including the former CFOs of Oracle and NetSuite.

We’re now looking to build out our analytics capability with our first Sr. Analytics Engineer.  This position would be part of the Data Science Team and own Analytics at Tesorio.  This position will be creating production quality dashboards for Tesorio customers and internal stakeholders such as Product, Sales, and Marketing.  We are looking for someone who has the combination of data engineering skills, business sense, and ability to speak directly with executives.

You are an ideal candidate for this role if you enjoy taking a problem statement and turning it into a production quality dashboard or presentation.  You would enjoy speaking directly with customers, have solid engineering skills to transform data, and build dashboards without bugs or data quality issues.  You would also be able to prioritize requests from multiple internal and external stakeholders and be able to say no to certain requests.

Our team is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, and we have a diverse, distributed workforce across the Americas. We don’t believe that people need to sacrifice being close to their families and where they’d prefer to live in order to do their best work. This position would be joining the Data Science Team, in which the entire team is distributed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide insights to customers and internal stakeholders through building data visualizations
  • Be an expert on the data in our database, know every in and out of the data, and how to apply that data to a customer's pain point
  • Transform data with whatever tool is best for the job, whether that is SQL, Python, or some other tool
  • Build strategic reporting for executive level stakeholders
  • Speak directly with customers to understand their pain points and turn into actionable insight

Required Skills

  • 6+ years of experience in engineering and building dashboards
  • Fluent in Python or R and SQL
  • Familiarity with ETL workflows
  • Experience in a customer facing role
  • Experience using dashboard tools such as Metabase, Looker, Tableau, etc.
  • Ability to familiarize and understand client pain paints, and translate into insight
  • Solid writing, communication, and presentation skills

Nice to Have

  • Degree in Business or Economics and/or interest in finance
  • Exposure to machine learning, but no modeling experience necessary
  • Experience with SQL based ETL tools such as DBT
