javascript typescript angular ngrx unit-testing frontend Aug 12

Are you ready to dive into a new challenge with a team of committed, motivated, talented individuals seeking to build the biggest global point-of-sale financing solution?

ViaBill was founded in 2009 with the goal of disrupting the traditional e-commerce payment methods of Europe. We believe that online merchants should have an easy-to-implement solution that offers customers an alternative to instant payment, hence giving customers a chance to evaluate the purchase before actual payment. The last 4 years, ViaBill has grown from our first office in an art gallery to multiple offices throughout the world and from a handful of customers to handling transactions worth more than $150M per year.

At ViaBill, we know that becoming the best at something is not easy. It takes skill, hard work, and an unmatched level of ambition. Software Quality Coach - Australia
cloud testing devops Aug 05
The best software quality job in the world? We think so.

We are looking for people who live and work in Australia to join our remote-first team as Quality Coaches. You will be working on Octopus Deploy, the most popular deployment automation tool in the world. This means everything you do will positively affect the lives of thousands of software developers and operations teams around the world.

Working at Octopus may be different from any other job you’ve had before. At Octopus, quality is a team responsibility which means you will be coaching a handful of product teams to "shift quality left" and bake it in from the very beginning of the delivery process. We are more interested in your influencing and coaching abilities compared to your coding or testing abilities.

You will join our Software Quality team to work on Octopus Server, Octopus Cloud, and our commercial platform. We focus on doing work that matters using a method inspired by Shape Up. Our teams are software tradespeople who care about doing things right the first time. You will probably be surprised at how collaboratively we work both inside and across our teams, even though our teams work remotely. We take pride in our hard-earned, friendly, consensus-building, and ever-improving remote-first culture.

Read our employee handbook to discover what it's like working at Octopus.

Keep reading if you want more details about the job. Otherwise, click the button to apply and have a real conversation with a key leader from our team.

This job will be a great fit for you if

  • You see yourself more as a coach/influencer/leader/mentor than a coder/tester.
  • You already coach software teams to improve the reliability, performance, and usability of their products
  • You work somewhere with a strong DevOps culture and read books like the Phoenix Project or the DevOps Handbook
  • You teach/mentor other testers or quality coaches at work, local meetups, or conferences
  • You are already competent with automated CI/CD tool chains like Octopus

What does success look like for a quality coach?

  • Product teams you coach will become self-sufficient and ship high quality software at speed with less supervision
  • With your help, product teams become aware of problemmatic quality trends and become more effective at detecting, eliminating, and eventually eradicating those quality problems
  • Key quality indicators that we measure, like reliability, performance, and usability, are improving over time
About the company

We make Octopus Deploy, software that enables teams to deliver working software to production. We've become the "best in class" tool in our category by focusing on doing one thing and doing it very well. Founded in 2012, we now have over 25,000 happy customers around the world, and we employ 70+ wonderful people.

We're a boostrapped, profitable, growing business. We're not VC-funded, and our goal is to build a company that will last forever, while enjoying the journey and doing work that we're proud of. Our business model is all around understanding our customers, building great software, backing it up with great support and customer service, and making it incredibly easy to discover, learn and use.

Most of our team is based in Brisbane, Australia, where the company started, though we've spread to other parts of Australia, the US, and UK. Because our team is distributed, everyone works from home most of the week, so we've built a remote-first culture.

We've made our company handbook public, and it's a great guide to how we think about just about everything - including career progression and compensation, our vision and what we care about, how our company is structured, feedback loops, training, remote work and more. Please take a read of our handbook, and reach out if you think there is a good fit.

Does the thought of building scalable, reliable, cloud-native applications excite you?  Have you worked on large complex projects in the past and want to have a larger impact on a smaller, growing team?  Do you love mentoring and training other engineers to level-up their skills and build a dynamic team? Designer - Commerce

testing Jul 22
Atlassian is continuing to hire with all interviewing and on-boarding done virtually due to COVID-19. Everyone new to the team, along with our current staff, will temporarily work from home until it is safe to return to our offices.

Atlassian’s Commerce team is currently building a flexible platform that allows the easy launch of new monetization models, integration of new products and services, and of course, providing our customers with a frictionless buying experience.

And we’re looking for a product designer to help us with this.

Where do you come in?
As a designer with Commerce, you'll partner creatively and strategically with a cross-functional team. So, you will work with product managers, marketers, engineers, and other designers; all of whom are trying to help build and improve our customers' experience as they evaluate and purchase Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Stride, Bitbucket, Trello, and others).

You will also be given the freedom to innovate and transform our users' experience—something you will be able to do with ease thanks to your experience in handling of interaction design for complex flows.
In short, you will be joining a talented team that is constantly doing their best to help Atlassian achieve its goal of unleashing the potential in every team.

What will you be able to achieve in this role?
As a product designer with the Commerce team, you will be able to:
* make a strong impact on a critical component of the Atlassian ecosystem—our commerce and purchasing experiences.
* work with your cross-functional engineering and product team members to help untangle potentially gnarly problems and simplify it for the end-user.
* conduct user research to get feedback on your work, use data and testing to improve your design, and also use data as a starting point for trying out new initiatives.

Wondering if you should apply?
We would love for you to apply (and potentially be a part of this team) if you have:
* 3+ years of relevant product design experience under your belt. Ideally for E-commerce, purchasing, or other similarly complex experiences.
* an updated and polished portfolio that demonstrates your strong interaction design skills which also showcase your ability to empathize with your users. This is key.
* experience in following agile product development methodologies as part of a cross-functional triad of engineers, product managers, and designers.
* experience with strategies for integrating user feedback and psychological perspectives into your decision making.
* excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work across multiple teams, solicit and synthesize helpful feedback, and facilitate design discussions.
* the ability to balance design thinking, investigation, and budgets—all while meeting deadlines.

The Atlassian design team
Designers at Atlassian are responsible for the complete user experience, from early-stage research and ideation, through implementation and iteration based on key success metrics. We challenge each other constantly and ask hard questions.
One thing you can be assured of is that you will be joining a smart team that is passionate about creating the best user experience possible and is committed to delivering what users need to feel a connection with our products.
